Spring [artificial] flowers?

I'm making our centerpieces and bouquets with coffee filter flowers, and then hoping to add in some fake flowers for some extra color/depth.  

Any advice/opinions on the following ideas for flowers to round out the floral arrangements?

Our colors are purple and gray, so I'll be dying our flowers purple with some yellow flowers for accents. They look like peonies when they are all made. I'm trying to DIY a lot of our wedding and also keep everything low budget as possible!
