Beer alternatives?

Our venue only allows beer and wine, which we're both fine with and most of our guests will enjoy. We have a few friends who don't like beer but do enjoy hard ciders. We were planning on getting a few types of beer anyway. Is it worth making one of them a hard cider? We've also got some friends and family who usually drink beer, but may choose cider if it's available as it tends to be less "heavy" than beer. I just want to be sure we're hosting everyone properly and giving them a choice of beverages they'd enjoy.

    I find cider delicious and any gluten-free folks will be appreciative.  Even my non-gluten-free friends like cider.  I also have family who don't like beer or wine, but happily drink cider.  I personally think it's worth it.

    I totally forgot it's also gluten free...that adds even more people who would drink it. Thanks for that!

    Given that so many places that have beer these days also include at least one cider, I think it's a good idea.

    Absolutely. Cider is delicious and is popular with both beer lovers and people who don't drink beer. I think your guests will appreciate having this option.

    I think it's nice to offer a cider beer, as long as you're also offering a light beer + a craft brew (like an IPA).

    Those were going to be my exact options, thanks for confirming they're good ideas! I LOVE a good IPA, but I know they're kind of polarizing. I thought IPA, light beer, cider & some sort of lager or pilsner would probably cover all of the bases. Thanks!

    I think cider is a very appropriate option - especially if it's gluten-free.

    Yes i think cider is great, you can get it in many flavors and it compliments a lot food nicely
