BIL has given a lot of crap over the years about gifts their dad has given us. The kitchen and addition are HUGE gifts for which we are incredibly grateful. BIL seems to forget that he gets things too though- We've "loaned" him money, FIL has gifted money, there was a HUGE financial agreement when BIL bought FIL's house.
After DH's accident BIL was annoyed that DH borrowed FIL's extra car.
BIL loves cars. They roll loans from one into the next so they always have the newest and shiniest.
BIL sold his Camaro yesterday. That extra car DH drove? BIL is now driving it forever...at no cost.
