one of my bridesmaids recently got engaged. We are not as close as we were when I got married and some other stuff has happened, and I don't think it would be appropriate for me to be a bridesmaid. She hasn't asked yet so hopefully I won't have to deal with this, but is there a polite way to decline being a bridesmaid? I'm happy to go to her wedding I just don't want to be in it.
