RSVP Issue

in October 2016 Weddings
I have sent invites to single guests, not giving them a +1 yet they are able to "ad another guest". Now this is increasing my number well beyond the intended guest list. 
How do I prevent this?

    This should probably be posted to the "Technical Issues" on the international board. This should be a feature built into the website somehow...
