  When I went in looking for a dress, I didn't even think of my friend's. I was thinking of what makes me happy and my style. 
  
  I dont think our dresses look alike, but she does. So what do I do? Do I exchange the dress and make sure I don't get a Maggie Sottero dress so she's happy? I got engaged first and am getting married first, but she got her dress first, so does she have claim over the dresses? I love my dress and it's my dream dress but I just feel now that every time I look at it or put it on, I'm going to remember all this drama.

  Your friend is totally out of line trying to tell you to change your wedding dress, that's just ridiculous. You found a dress you love hat happens to be by the same designer; no one can call "dibs" on an entire line of dresses. 
  
  I think the best plan is to ignore her. If she brings it up again, tell her you're sorry she's unhappy but that you love your dress, they are not the same, and you're not purchasing a new one. End of story.   
  
  Its likely she will realize how silly she is being and move on, but if she doesn't thats on her, not you. 
  
  Congrats on finding your dress! Don't let someone else's drama cloud your excitement.

  @JPalochko you were quoted. No sense in deleting. It's rude and it just draws more attention to whatever you were trying to hide. 
  
  FWIW, your friend is wrong. As PP stated you can't call dibs on an entire designer. Who got engaged first and bought first and whatever first is beside the point. She's acting like a petulant child.

  My only guess is she's afraid the friend will see this? Because this was a totally reasonable post asking for advice on a shitty situation where the OP isn't actually the problem.
  
  OP, even if you bought the exact same dress it wouldn't matter, even if you were getting married on the same day in the same dress, she doesn't have claim to an entire line just because she bought her dress first. Ignore her tantrum and hope that she comes to her senses about how much of a brat she's being and gets over it. Otherwise, you've learned just how petty this friend is and you can do with that information as you wish.
  
  Congrats on finding your dream dress, don't let anyone ruin it like your friend is trying to do.
