outdoor lakeside venues near Lake George?

I am looking for a location to have a small wedding (40 people) on a lake in the southern part of the Adirondacks.  I live near Troy and we don't really want to have it more than an hour and a half away.

Our goal is to have most of it outside, very laid back, at sunset.

Any suggestions?

Try "the Lodges at Cresthaven" on Lake George.

We looked there for our wedding, but we just had too many people (150). I think it might be a great venue for a smaller group like yours.

if you contact jane (the coordinator) please let her know that Lynnie Rudner referred you.

    Thanks and good luck!

I would check with the Fort William Henry resort, they have a beautiful space outside that overlooks the lake, very popular for weddings. Also, check with the Georgian, they also have a great space outdoors and also have a great huge room which has a nice bar, stage and an entire wall of windows that looks over the lake, it's beautiful!

We're getting married at Silver Bay- it is a YMCA owned resort with beautiful historic buildings and budget-friendly options for meals. Our ceremony will be held in the stone chapel on the campus, but they do outdoor ceremonies as well.
