Fruit and Flower Centerpieces

What do you think about this centerpiece? My colors are black and white with hints of lime. Has anyone else used fruit in their centerpieces?

I love the way fruit looks in centerpieces! Fruit seems like a great filler and compliments flowers nicely. Especially lemons or limes with white flowers because the colors pop out nicely without being too over the top.

I like it.You could also add fern curls in the white flowers for that hint of black if you wanted.

Using fruit is a great way to add texture to centerpieces as well as cut costs. It's done alot and I think that one would be great.

I love this look. And I'm using it for my citrus themed wedding. Here's a link with a couple of how-to's, personally I think the first method, using two vases is probably the easiest. You could also substitute the inside vase for a piece of floral foam to hold the fruit in place.

I'm not sure how well the fruit will keep, but I'm planning on doing a test run to see if the fruit can be cut-up the night before, but my instincts tell me that it will likely need to be done the morning of. Hopefully you have friends to help, because it's going to be a big big job!
