Need a venue

I've never posted in the board before, but I currently have a bit of a problem.
My mother was going to let my SO and I use her backyard for the ceremony and wedding reception, but she has just changed her mind becuase “It will ruin the yard.” and because she “doesn’t want strangers in her yard.”
I live in Wheaton, and we have a very small budget for the venue. I'm stressed out and can't thing straight right now, but we would like to book a venue soon.

If anyone has suggestions for a budget friendly place for about 60 guests that would be fantastic! I'm not to picky with its location. Indoor or outdoor is fine, and we would like to stay in the Lisle, Warrenville, Wheaton, Naperville area.

  • I'm in Lombard and we just booked a B&B out in Oregon, IL (hour and a half drive) .. if you don't mind the drive, it is GORGEOUS AND budget friendly! I think they updated their rates for 2013 to be $750, but that includes rental of their entire grounds for the whole day. Their site is   http://www.pinehillbb.com

    Good luck with your search.. things in our area tend to be too pricey :(

  • Have you thought about Cantigny Park? It looks like it has some very pretty gardens?
  • Theres a rustic barn venue in Rockton, IL....not sure how far of a drive, but its basically free. Its at a couple's land...they had built it for there sons wedding and now let couples have weddings there, my wedding is going to be there next year. Let me know if u need info.

    <div>While you are early...check out my dj/Band guy!!
    <div>
    </div><div><div>The contact info is at <a href="http://www.funkyjazzypop.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.funkyjazzypop.com</a></div><div>
    </div><div>I am getting  a band/DJ package where the guyI actually sing Michael Buble kinda stuff with a live jazz trio or recordings for Cocktails, and DJs the rest of the night...The price it just over a DJ price since he is both the singer and dj. He said he hires "gigging pros" that can leave early enough to make a "real gig"  so the costs stay low. He is an AMAZING singer!</div><div>
    </div><div>He pays you $100 if you refer him to a friend and they hire him too! I already got 2 friends using him!</div></div>
