..till Easter break.  Easter snuck up on me.  I was making a list of the cooking and baking I have to do last night.  At least the kids easter baskets are squared away.  Anyone else hosting a brunch or dinner, or have lots of holiday prep (Passover included...I know that's a bit of a labor intensive meal).

ETA and ugh the Notre Dame fire is so sad

I've had a scratchy kind of sore throat for the last couple days and didn't even consider that it could be allergies!  That definitely makes sense though.  Hope you feel better soon @kvruns.

I wish we got an Easter/Passover break.  When I lived in NE for a while as a kid I remember we didn't have a whole week spring break, but instead had the Th/Fri/Mon off around Easter weekend.  Even at 12, that made so much more sense to me.

I had super weird dreams last night and don't feel very rested this morning.  Hopefully my lunchtime yoga class will energize me a little.

My allergies have been kicking my ass since last week. I had to break down and get the good stuff behind the counter at CVS.

I'm hosting Easter brunch. Only 8 of us, so relatively easy. I think the only thing I'm actually making that morning are the deviled eggs.
We do also have Passover dinner Friday at my H's step sister's house. That's always fun.

DW sent SD’s Easter basket from us last week. It’s supposed to arrive on Saturday - perfect timing.

I’m making a couple things to take to my mom and dad’s. DW has been asking for deviled eggs, so I might make those, plus a salad or two. Otherwise, no major prep.

Work has slowed down a bit, but we’re short-handed today.

Oh, and DW noticed yesterday afternoon that our new downstairs neighbor put a camera in the stairwell. I am not happy about this turn of events.

Family was never big on easter.  Religion wise and/or big meals.  It was a day for us to hide chocolate eggs and then find a few later that summer in the hanging plant baskets.  Still ate ‘em.  But I am excited because our family will be flying together to spend the weekend shopping and whatnot.  Brunch at Granite City on sunday.

I'd contact the property manager and ask about rules regarding recording public spaces.  I would think that unless the property puts up the cameras and posts signs that you're being recorded, they probably will be told to take it down.    Record all the crap you want to in your own apt, but there's no reason to record the hall.

I just made some last minute orders for DH's trip to draft next week and my trip in a couple weeks.  I have to bake a cake today for DefConn's boy scout dessert auction on Thursday.  We'll decorate it tomorrow.

I have to work in the office tomorrow.  I have to get up so early, but at least DH is going to work from home.  DefConn's his problem, LOL.

I am having wardrobe crises over what to wear to work tomorrow and vacation clothing.  The "I never leave the house" struggle is real.  At least I have a couple weeks on the vacation stuff.  ;)

I'm sucking at work today.  I don't even want to look at my numbers, ha.

Tired AF today. I don’t know what’s happening but I’m exhausted. Maybe I’m not 💯 after being sick? May allergies? At least it’s already noon. Ive got a few meetings this afternoon but should be an easy day.

Other than that not too much. Hopefully getting to bed early!

We'll be driving back to NOLA from Panama City on Easter.  So not doing anything special food-wise for dinner.  Depending on when we leave, we might have dinner somewhere on the road.  We will be driving through Biloxi around that time.  Lots of casinos and I'm sure they all have some special Easter buffet.

I have errands to run at lunch.  I'm running late writing my report for the dinner mystery shop I had last night (which was delicious).  I have another dinner mystery shop tonight when I get off work, though thankfully that is more of a take-out place.  Then I have to go home and pack for our trip.  Phew!  A lot going on today, lol.

Funny story about Panama City.  About 10 years ago, my H (then b/f) approached me and told me a colleague from another company had approached him with a possible job offer.  He asked what I thought and if I'd be willing to move to Panama City.  Here is the rest of the conversation:

Me:  "Hmmm, Panama City.  I'd kind of hate to leave NOLA.  But we do really like the Gulf Coast of FL.  It would be nice to live in a beach community again."

H (laughing his ass off):  "No!  No, no.  Not Panama City, FL.  Panama City, Panama."

Me:  "OMG, are you serious?  Like, the country In Central America, Panama?  Lol."  (Slightly getting over my complete shock).  "Ya know (starting to nod) that could be really cool.  It would be neat to experience living in another country."

I was not privy to many of the details but, unfortunately, I think that company ended up not opening operations in Panama, so the job itself just never materialized.

Right now I have eggs that I’ll boil and we’ll color some day. I have a bag of jelly beans I keep eating and water bottles for their baskets. Shoot.

i got the grass cut this morning. Now max and I are going to clean out the flower beds and clean up the clippings. I hate yard work but at least it’s not 10000000 degrees out

OWK - Yes, I would contact the property manager too.  I would not be ok with that camera.  Is it aimed at their front door?  Do you share this hallway?

I am hosting an Easter brunch on Sunday with MIL and her BF.  Nothing too crazy.

I hope my fellow allergy sufferers get some relief soon!  I'm finally feeling better from my last bit of allergies, I think that rain wiping out most of the pollen Sunday night helped big time.  Just waiting for the next wave of pollen to hit now!  I may see if I can go back on Singular, once we shut the door permanently for potential no. 2.  It was the best thing for my allergies, but I weaned myself off when we started TTC.  That was when I switched to Zytec, since it was recommended by my fertility doc.

I'm also saddened by the loss at Notre Dame.  Though with the renovations they were doing, most of the art and historical items were already removed.  The stuff that remained was mostly saved as well.  The image of the cross in the burned out church, gave me shivers when I first saw it!

Last night was good.  H ended up not going to karate, they moved their session to Wednesday this week.  So he picked up DD and I cooked dinner.  It was teriyaki steak and Chinese egg noodles, which is a favorite of H when we go to a local hibachi place.  We haven't been in ages, so I knew he would love it!  And he did!  LOL!

Tonight is probably a Target run and bath night for DD.

I hope everyone feels better! Allergies are the worst. FI has been working on the yard and is not sneezing nonstop. Although he won’t follow my advice and take something for it so my sympathy for him only goes so far.

Studying and gym today for me. I have two weeks of school left and it seems like two weeks too long. I am ready to be out of there. I can’t wait until I no longer am feeling absolutely stripped. Just a few more weeks until Cancún. I can make it.

I just checked Nextdoor and didn’t see anything. I haven’t checked the neighborhood Facebook groups recently but I will when I get home.

Our house is an up-and-down duplex. The neighbor rents the first floor, we rent the second and third, and the basement is shared. We each have a washer and dryer.

I have noticed that no matter what time I leave the house or come home, his car is always there. I figured, “OK, maybe he works at home or he’s trying to sell the car.” But DW is a light sleeper and hears him leaving at weird hours sometimes. I figured, “Oh, he works third shift.” On the other hand, sometimes I hear him playing music really loud at midnight when we’re both trying to sleep.

There’s a part of me that wants to stand in front of the camera and do silly stuff. Sing, dance, tell jokes. But I really don’t want to piss this guy off.

Congrats @ILoveBeachMusic!  What an amazing accomplishment.

@OurWildKingdom- I’d ask management about the camera. It could be the guy works a swing shift too. My neighbors never knew wtf I was doing.

I just found a...clusterfvck in a case at work that is going to take me all day tomorrow to untangle.  And it's because no one will listen to the workers who have experience under their belts (it's not just me) and organize documents the way they need to be, to have continuity and be able to provide them accurately and consistently.  I think I'm going to have to start over at very literal square one and I'm just over it.

Just studying and more studying at home.  Walking/running and have adding a mobility thing to try and help my joints with the walking/running.  I just booked a float for Saturday and bought new water shoes.  I'm stoked to be getting on the water and relaxing a bit.

That's interesting.   When I lived in an apartment building we used to have a neighbor who hardly ever moved his car and he often entertained guests for roughly 15 minutes or so at a time.   We believed he was....working from home.

Turns out new neighbor is in the security business. DW talked to him today. Unfortunately, he also hates animals.

When we say entertained we think there was a sale of substances.   You knew when his lady was over (or under, or behind or ..you know).

Ah, that makes more sense.  My mind went right into the gutter.

I dunno, just because you have the equipment doesn't mean you get to place it out in a rental, IMO, especially if there was no approval.  @OurWildKingdom

Well just because he’s in the business doesn’t mean he can just put up his business whereever he wants. I’d contact the property management. It’s one thing if the company/landlord had cameras that were monitored off-site but what I’m picturing here are cameras that only he can access that are recording everything in/out of the hallway/entryway. Not cool. It’s shared space and he doesn’t get to monitor it or you without your consent (IMO, unlikely though the law).
