Everyone done with this week already? I don't blame you.

Last night DH and I went and ordered a new fridge. We've wanted one forever and with having two major parties this summer, it was time to pull the trigger. I am so damn giddy about it. We almost bought a TV, but we're holding off until fall. Also, the price on the TV we want will probably drop by then as well.

Other than that, SSDD. I have my monthly meeting with my boss soon and I'm dreading it. I know I was not into work last month at all and she knew it. Prudie will be dished up soon.

I'm 1000% done with this week, but at least it's actually nice out.

I think BabyKitten is gonna be officially taking off walking soon. She's up to 5 steps but then loses space, we try to get her at a different spot then refuses to walk lol
This morning she just did not wanna be held and wanted to stand while at daycare drop off. Give me 2mins child - I need to talk to your caregiver!

We start formula to milk transition this weekend and we have a photoshoot that sFIL has been dying to do. We're going to the arboretum, so they're gonna look AMAZING! {google Ottawa arboretum - you'll see

}
Not entirely sure what I'll put her in yet, but he gave us some colours to avoid.

Side note - if anyone does google image it, what colours would you suggest for her to wear?
{if you don't, it's cherry blossoms - we were told to avoid green, pink and maybe red}

I’m definitely done with this day. It started out with me not being able to find my car key. It turned to be in the backseat; it fell out of my purse as we were unloading after our Target run last night. I ended up being late because of losing the key.

Then I found out MOH got us a belated wedding present - sheets, which we desperately need. Except that she bought twin sheets. . . Because DW told her we have a twin bed (we have a full/double). SMDH.

Then I had two emergencies before 9:30.

On top of that, it looks like I might have to work late, and then I have a Meetup after work, and I can’t bail because I’m the organizer. FML.

What kind of fridge did you get?? I was so excited when we got new appliances.

I'm definitely ready for this week to be over! Thankfully H put our bedroom AC unit yesterday in so I can finally sleep in nice, cold air.

@mrsconn23, congrats on the new fridge! Now I must share my weird secret, lol. I am obsessed with nice refrigerators. The bigger and more bells and whistles, the better. Anytime we're at a home improvement store or anywhere that sells appliances, my H laughs that I always have to go visit the fridges. It's like appliance porn for me. The newest black slate stainless steel color. Insta-view door-in-door. Oh yeah! Come to mama! But $4K for a fridge is so rude, lol.

My own fridge actually isn't anything too fancy, but at least it's on the larger size at 25 cu. ft. I felt like "I'd arrived" after I bought it, lol. I was giddy too! It's the first fridge I've had that was a lot bigger than the typical 18-20 cu ft.

For my own new thing, we're having a couch delivered tomorrow! We were having a hard time finding exactly what we wanted so, much to our chagrin, we gambled with Amazon. I am PRAYING we like it and find it comfortable, because we'll pretty much be stuck with it. It only looks okay to me, not the prettiest thing, lol. But it's a dual recliner sofa, with a middle drop down table, under $700. Not much to choose from with those qualifications. Trust me, I tried, lol. Here's a link to my new couch:

We made a poor choice with our previous couch and have regretted it almost since we bought it, about 5 years ago. I cannot WAIT to get the new one! I'm already planning to spend Fri. night at home. Reclined back with an adult beverage in the cup holder on the drop down table, lol.

I love my French door fridge!!

Our county parks and libraries team up to do a summer letter box adventure. It's like a mini-geocaching thing that the kids love. We did one this morning, came home for lunch and so I could take a call, then we're doing another this afternoon.

I am slowly but surely working through my Disney pictures.

We have the GE Cafe series, with the French doors and bottom freezer. I love it so much. We also have the hot water dispenser with it, and as a tea drinker, I can say it's the best thing ever.

@short+sassy, very nice! We did the same thing and bought a couch online before testing it and I’m not to happy with mine either. I like the style you got and would get the same.

I was so groggy this morning. May have over done it on the nyquil.... but I was way better after my cup of coffee. Coffee saved the day! Tonight I have a consult with the surgeon. I want to see how much money I need to save (in my case be in debt for) for what I want.

I didn't realize some fridges come with a HOT water dispenser. Something else to lust for, lol.

However, I do have a hot water dispenser on my kitchen sink. I love it also! I use it for hot tea and also to give a "head start" to water I'm about to put on the stove to boil or canned soups that need water added.

I'm geocaching this weekend! My sister and cousin planned the trip months ago and are very excited.

@MissKittyDanger That place looks amazing! Next time I am out that way I know where I am going! I love arboretums. It looks like a lot of people wear blue, black, or white or pictures there, though I did see a nice picture of a mother with her two daughters and one of them was wearing pink and still looked awesome.

I saw pink too ... and I was hesitant also because she's so tiny lmao I may do a splash of pink if I pick the top I'm thinking of

Over lunch (stayed in my office), my cell phone gave one of those loud alerts that the area I was in was on a tornado watch and to "seek shelter". Umm...okay. Nowhere to go better than where I am, I guess. But thanks for the warning. At least I know to stay inside.

Then, about 15 minutes later, ALL the office phones started ringing at once! So freaky! It was also an auto-message that there was a tornado warning for the area.

Thankfully, the warning has passed. I checked a local news site and didn't see anything about damage, so hopefully nothing bad happened to anyone.

I don't think I've ever experienced an emergency alert before where that happened with landline phones. At least not when I was within earshot of dozens of them!

@mrsconn23 I think we have the same fridge except mine is stainless steel, not black stainless. Great fridge!

Whew...heck of a day over here. Work was bananas. Haven;t heard from the dream job people. And it's 80 degrees. And H hasn't put in our ACs yet.

tbh she doesn't have her hands up like it seems most kids do. Like they're not straight down, but kind of penguin-ish where they're kinda to the side?
