What Day is It? Wednesday?

This is really late, where y'all at? I feel like maybe we're all noses to the grind after this holiday schedule. Being right in the middle of the week seems to have really messed up my schedule, I feel like.

Nothing too much going on. K and family made it to Hawaii, but it was kind of touch and go. K already feels like they're having to take care of everyone (go to bathroom with Grammy, teach Grammy and Mom how to use the touch screen, Mom was made that the wifi wasn't faster...K had bought the wifi for themselves, Grammy/Mom kept trying to talk to K who was reading). I called them and we chatted through it. I do miss them though. I got kind of spoilt having them home every night for awhile and now I'm at home alone and like, WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!?!

I did have a meeting with friend though to talk about a show I might get to help produce that we are really excited about.

Other than that, SSDD.

Between a cold and cuspids, BabyKitten is having a damn hard time

Last night she threw up - idk if from coughing, hand down her throat/in her mouth or both .... but it happened. Unfortunately it meant throwing laundry in at 9pm {still currently in washer because I didn't care enough to stay up and we don't have a working dryer yet}
It did mean we were going to have to put a sheet on without mattress protector - our back up was in the basement to be washed.
Eventually she crashed, but at some point she took off her pants and diaper. LUCKILY she did NOT pee the bed!

We're going to have to let this issue ride and then cut off bottles to anticipate potty training soon.

Fuck.
I'm just tired. Waiting for this cold/teething issue to pass quick.

@VarunaTT glad K got there safely! Sucks they're having issues already, hopefully it doesn't last and the trip is good from here on out.
M hasn't been gone overnight for anything, but I know days {pre-BabyKitten} he would go to football games right after work with SFIL and I'd be like "Wtf do I do?" lol

Reading about K’s trip is giving me anxiety @VarunaTT. Good call on skipping it.

@MissKittyDanger hopefully Baby Kitten feels better.

I drove to BFE today for training. I’m pretty tired. I am reacting either to the heater or someone’s perfume in here because half my face is all stuffed up. It’s Wednesday and I’m ready for the weekend. I wish I had some extra cash to burn, because I have to pass by the outlets on the way back and they always have great deals on stuff.

I’m tired and cranky today; I was at work until 8 last night and have just sat down to eat and need to get right back to work. Super fun federal deadlines. Also, I hate when there is an end of the day deadline and people call we’ll before that and ask when you’re handing off results. The end of the day. When they’re due. FFS.

Varuna - Good call on skipping that trip! Glad that you were also able to talk to K during their troubles!

MKD - Try putting BabyKitten's diaper on backwards or putting her pjs on backwards. As long as they are footless pjs, she can wear them backwards. DD was pulling her diaper off at one point and turning that and her sleep sack backwards kept her from pulling it off at night.

Yoga was heavenly yesterday! I do hate when we have to move it to Tuesday nights though (an attorney has the seminar room blocked off on our normal Wednesday nights until April). It just means I have 3 more days to work in the office, rather than 2.

We are getting a snow squall right now, which is crazy considering less than 30 minutes ago it was super sunny outside! I hope we don't get too much, I hate clearing off my car! Its one of my favorite parts of having a house with a garage!

@OliveOilsMom my phone blew up and screamed at me about an hour ago in eastern CT about the snow squalls. Still haven't seen anything.

I had my annual review Monday which went well. Now I just get into the grind of the new year.

I keep loving eating my cheap slutty nachos which consist of a flat layer of tortilla chips and grated cheddar microwaved for 30 seconds. I need to eat all the chips so they get out of the house.

Now waiting for a call back from a person to see about booking a place to host DH's 40th. I looked into a go cart place and I think he'd rather just have drinks and food and talk with friends so I need to see what we can do about that. I'm bad on the planning and am hoping to get an email sent today or tomorrow at the latest.

@VarunaTT, I'm glad K and her family got to Hawaii safely. Hopefully there will be more relaxing on the beach in their future as opposed to taking care of Grammy/Mom.

@MissKittyDanger, I hope BabyKitten starts feeling better!

I am way beyond tired today also. I did my new and intense mystery shop last night. I went straight from work and didn't get home until after 10:30PM! Didn't get to bed until past midnight...though that was my own fault. Then, for no reason, I woke up at 5AM and couldn't get back to sleep. I am NOT someone who can miss sleep like that, lol. Now I can barely keep my eyes open and have a low grade headache because of it.

But, overall, it was a great night! Though, primarily not so much because of the shop itself, but it was at a casino and I hit a CRAZY, super lucky video poker hand. By the time I went home, I was up $340! The shop itself was decent. But I felt it was a bit too low paying for the work involved and I'm not sure I would do it again. Because I normally cant count on being supplemented with a nice win, lol.

I think my nachos are sluttier, lol. I like to use those jarred cheese dips, where the cheese is already melted and a thick liquid. Like those Tostito's ones.

@OliveOilsMom our footless ones are all in the wash, but we've been doing that .... and she has started pulling her arms and legs in {we call it the baby sack} and removed her diaper 2x *headdesk*
I may have to tape it at this point until we're ready to start potty training. Tbh idk if she's quite ready and idk if we have the time right now to focus on that since we wanna focus on removing bottles from nap/bed routine first. Plus stupid cuspids and cold ... grr

I'm sorry about what's happening; I also started laughing at my desk at baby sack.

I'm so happy right now. My former PCP (he retired and I'm probably going to die mad about it) had a really great NP. I had a shitty experience with last PCP I tried to set up care with. Started checking again and the great NP was taking new patients! Ya'll, that was a DOCTOR APPOINTMENT. I was looked all the way over, she's smart as hell, labwork ordered, flu shot given, TDAP ordered, one of my gallbladder incisions is infected, so medicine in for that. But the absolute best thing was she confirmed my partner was same-sex, stopped what she was doing to look straight into my eyes and said, "You will never experience any issues with me or my clinic about that, okay?" and I just so appreciated that (especially since shitty experience I'm pretty sure based in some sort of bigotry).

So, yay for that. I feel so much better knowing I have a PCP that I'm comfortable and feel safe with.

Haha. At first I thought it was a shopping secret shop and I was like “damn, I hate shopping so much I couldnt do it that long” but then read that it was a casino. Oooooh I get it!
