  Our mower took a shit last night.  Since we live on an acre+, it's a zero turn.  DH is calling around to find out about repairs.  The first guy he talked to did not give good news, but I found a place that specializes in our brand of mower.  So fingers crossed. 
  
  This mower thing has put a wrench in planning fall break.  Depending on the cost, we may still be heading west....going, going, back, back, to Cali, Cali.  Toes crossed.  
  
  I've been reading these excerpts from the new Woodward book and he supposedly has recorded Trump interviews, that Orange Fuckface agreed to,  where he played down the pandemic knowingly and all sorts of other shit.  There's also many people that worked in the administration on record saying Trump is dangerous, unfit, and clearly criminal.  
  
  And reading all that 1) did not shock me, it just made me tired because my mind leapt to all the ways this will be spun in the press, 2) is this *really* going to change anyone's mind? I mean, this is just another thing to add to the mountain of shit he's done that will be defended by his supporters and not called out strongly by the media because they're going to mealy mouth it, and 3) I still cannot understand, even after reading so many variations of people who've left the administration saying the same thing over and over, how they haven't somehow created a coalition with elected leadership to take him down/out.  Either they're all still gaining something that personally benefits them or, like, there's just bigger threats to the US that trying to get Trump out of office would cause more problems for the country (I mean are we talking civil war?).  
  
  It's a foregone conclusion that we all should brace for massive violence after the election results are final and if it's not clear we're in for a long legal fight up to the Supreme Court. 
  
  IDK  Again...So tired.

  On the subject of Trump supporters, this was funny (in a sad way) from one of the threads on my local Nextdoor.  The poster was suggesting ways and looking for suggestions on how we can help the post office and mail delivery people still delivery our mail in a timely manner, considering the budget cuts being made to slow mail delivery.  She did not specifically call out Trump, but the obvious implication was there and I think other people may have.
  
  Some guy starts ranting about how mail service has always been slow and bad in our area (that is true).  And he is tired of Dems bad-mouthing and blaming Trump for everything.  That the mail service has been slow for a long time and it isn't Trump's fault.
  
  The OP (God bless'er) replied to that poster that Trump is purposefully trying to slow mail service because he doesn't want mail-in voting and has said so himself.  She then followed with the EXACT QUOTE where he said this and included the source, lmao.
  
  It must be hard to be a Trump lover when the words directly out of his mouth negate your arguments.

  My current favorite is the boats sinking in Texas.
  -The wake of the larger boats sunk the smaller boats making the metaphor of "The rich get richer" even more visibly evident. 
  -Unlike CT where I live, Texas does not require you to have a boating license if you were born on or before August 30, 1993.  So the people most likely in this "parade" are also living in an anti-regulation state and voting for the guy who "is against all this BS regulation" and had these people taken and passed a safe boating course they would understand water safety, water rules, (no wake generation times) and how to avoid being swamped when you encounter jerks who don't pay attention to the rules.     FWIW, I haven't taken the course in CT so I can't drive my boat and won't until I take the course which I'll probably do over the winter.
