I'm going to my first Easter brunch (or an 'offical' easter meal for that matter) in over 15 years tomorrow. Kind-of excited finally eat all the cool stuff I've always heard about.

We're just hanging out tonight and watching tv. I had a school thing with my Lego team earlier today. They got an award for knowing their snack. I was a bit surprised by that award.

So something weird just happened. We were driving on the highway and the truck we were riding next to slammed on brakes and laid on the horn then pulled over on the side of the road. I really hope he's okay and not having a heart attack or something. But it's dark out and you just can't trust people anymore so we kept driving. What would you guys have done?

Hi ladies! I just got back a little bit ago from my friend's house. We dyed eggs with her son and did some shopping. I have no plans for tomorrow for dinner at all. I really didn't feel like driving home for Easter, and plus I have my aunt and 2 cousins flying in on Tuesday so I would be rushing right back. Easter won't hit me as hard as Christmas if I was by myself though. And I have softball in the afternoon so that will keep my busy.

Aleigh I would have kept going. He could have hit a deer or other animal and was laying on the horn to try to get them to move.

Beachy, my mom and sister found this place about an hour from where I live called Taste of Buffalo. They brought me pizza back and it was amazing. Just like Buffalo izza.

I'm sitting here watching Dazed & Confused with my dad. He's on his laptop, I'm on mine, and there's a good chance mom is upstairs on hers. Clearly we have no lives.

Mom & I went shopping for shoes today and I didn't find anything I liked, so I guess I'll be wearing my flip flops to church tomorrow with my new dress. I did find a shrug to match it though.

I was supposed to go out for ice cream with my best friend after dinner, but she never called to get the plans rolling. Her parents were having dinner tonight for their immediate family so I'm guessing she got sidetracked with that.

Last night we had 2 laptops, 2 Ipads, an ipod and iphone all looking up random stuff about the shows/movies were watching. It was kind-of funny and sad. It was becoming a race to see who could look up "why DOG the bounty hunter went to jail?" the fastest.

Haha Lynda I'm notorious for googling everything. I almost always have my laptop out and open too so its a given so I'm the same way with shows.

And my friend and I will be on the phone playing the Sims and will log into all of our different FB accounts to click on the crap we need for it to get stuff finished. We're pretty pathetic, but we said there are a million worse things we could be doing while our H's our gone.

I played the piano for 11 years growing up. My parents have hung onto my piano until now, but I finally have room for it, so they sent it over. It should be here any minute. I found some old sheet music and exercise books, I'm hoping to pick back up now that I have a proper instrument. I tried using a keyboard a few years ago, but it wasn't a full keyboard and it didn't play very well, so I couldn't get into it.

When my parents moved out of the house I grew up in, they ended up giving our (my) piano to my aunt, so I'm stuck with my keyboard until I have a place big enough to get a piano of my own.

Hi! Chillin' tonight. Kinda looking for places to rent. I found two potentials today. H was like "I like that one better - it's cheaper". So we'll see if the landlords get back to me.

We had roast chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and zucchini cakes for dinner tonight. And there's cookies, or cheesecake for dessert after I digest a little and have room. There are benefits to being at MIL's

My parents have my mom's great aunt's piano (they bought it at her estate sale after she passed away). No one plays it, my mom used to, but is out of practice and the thing is way out of tune. She told me they had a buyer lined up and she just couldn't go through with it. Maybe she'll pick it back up again.

I am quite amazing at the piano. I can play Mary Had a Little Lamb, Frairejaca (no fucking clue how to spell it, but I can play it), AND the song from the movie Big! Be jealous of my skills!

Edie, I have a Pittsburgh question for you. Are you seeing a lot of extra traffic from the tunnel construction? My grandfather was telling me about it yesterday when I stopped to visit and it sounds like the next couple years are going to be a royal PITA. I was just curious how it was for people who have to deal with it every day.

He actually lives in Greensburg, but his house is about 3 minutes off of Route 22 so I try to stop in and say hi when I'm coming through to visit my parents who are out by the airport. There's no good bypass around the city, so it might limit how many trips I make in the near future. In reality, though, I usually only come out for the holidays and maybe 1-2 other times a year. My sister & BIL lived in Squirrel Hill the year before they got married (they live in NC now) though.

Ugh. The movers told me that some of the trees on my street are too low, so they couldn't get the 18 wheeler to my house. Now they have to rent a shorter truck tomorrow morning, which means 1. my piano isn't here now, 2. I will have to cough up an extra $250 for this extra expense, and 3. I will miss Easter lunch with my ILs.

That also means that I have 25 mini carrot cake whoopie pies in my refrigerator that H and I will have to eat by ourselves.

My parents have a piano and it always have been "mine", but now my sister wants it. I use to play and loved it. I wasn't great, but I would love the piano from my parents.

sorry I went MIA.

We have a 'problem'. Chef normally sleeps with us. He has been clingy towards DH today. DH just went to bed and Chef went with him and of course, wanted to sleep on him. DH is too sick to deal his cuddling.

So now I have to either, sleep on the couch or spare room with chef or put Chef in his crate. He HATES his crate when we are at home. He is completely fine when we are gone. Even gets in with no problem. But if we are at home. Nope, no way. Deals off.
