Wedding Woes

I don't know why...

I never thought about this.

We were watching Cougar Town and Courtney Cox's character was leading a classroom of students in the pledge of allegiance. H said, I do that on Tuesday and Thursday <- when he teaches.

Of course he does that. He teaches the first class of the day at a local High School, so that makes sense, but I never thought about it.

And for some reason, I find this to be awfully cute.

Get your vibes out ladies....we saw a commoner become a princess this AM, now lets see my H get a full-time job!

I never said the pledge in HS. Of course, it was blue-in-the-face America-hating liberal Connecticut, so maybe that's the difference.

I'd much rather pledge to the Constitution, frankly, than a flag.

    And vibes for Mr.Min!

Bmom - we're in the south...so you know everyone loves Ahmerukuh.

It's even worse in H's hometown. On the block where BIL & SIL live, no less than two house have the confederate flag hanging in the front yard.

I don't think we even do the pledge of allegiance anymore.

That was taken out of schools by the time I graduated High School... They basically started to think of it as almost a prayer because of the words included in it. So they removed it from the schools here in CO.

They do a moment of silence at his school, instead of a prayer.

I am wearing a purple shirt that Nico sent me.

Bacon's done it, so it's not out of all schools. <div>

Not only do our students say the Pledge every day, but they also sing the National Anthem. My principal's two sons are both military; therefore, she feels much more inclined to show her country pride.

But she also has no qualms about having ministers come "speak" (read: preach and pray) to our students before big events or testing.

ETA: vibes for Mr. MinM, I just realized today was Friday!

M2 and I are both sporting purple.  M1 has none.

Senior year I did morning prayer and the pledge every day over the PA.  I got teased heavily the day I messed up the pledge.  Just completely omitted a sentence.
