Wedding Invitations & Paper

Online Save-the-Dates

We've got about three months before the wedding, and are also tight budget-wise. I'm wondering if sending a save-the-date by way of email and then mailing out a paper invitation would be tacky, or if anyone else has done this as well?

It's also going to be a fairly small wedding, so I feel that most of the people that are invited already know about it and the details of the wedding as well. Thanks for your input!

Because you're three momths out and will be sending your invitations in just about 4 weeks I'd just skip save the dates. But feel free to tell any close family all the details!

    I second that.

  • I would skip it... there really is no need at this point.  And since people already know about it, then that in itself acts like a std.

I think email std are fine though, but I would have done them earlier.
