  I'm assuming that your BM likes wine? I love wine and personally would rather have the snacks as I am very picky about lotions and candles.
  
  Only you know your BM the best to make this choice though.

  I voted for #2 because it seems like she would be getting "more" out of it even if it was the same price, if that make sense.

  IMO, you can't go wrong with food- especially if it's stuff you know she likes.

  If you want to make it  more personal, you could personalize wine glasses for them. I found these: http://www.impressionsinvinyl.com/item_21/Polka-Dot-Bridemaid-Wine-Glasses.htm and i decorated a glass for each of them using their favorite colors. The glasses look so cute! I highly recommend them. We're going to pair them with a bottle of wine and some other small gifts
