When did you know that he was "the one?" When I was taken to the ER in New York City for suspicion of appendicitis. My phone was dying and I called from a hospital phone scared shitless thinking I'd have to go into surgery. Without question, he drove up after work (he lived in Delaware) to and waited with me in the hospital until 1 am, slept with me at my apartment, and left at 4 am to get to work the next day.

Long story short, I got into an explosive fight with my mother on Christmas and ended up having to take a $100 cab ride to the nearest bus that would take me back to Boston. Mr. Shoes picked me up from the bus station, held me, and took care of me while I rode the wave of devastation over what she said to me.

When did you know that he was "the one?" 6 weeks into dating we were in a really bad car accident. He was alright but I got knocked out with an open gash on my head and broke my pelvis in four places. He stayed with me and temporarily moved into my house for six months, sleeping on my bedroom floor and taking me to every doctor and physical therapy appointment. He wheeled me around school and took me to every class, helping me take notes and prepare for finals. If he saw me at my absolute worst and didn't leave then I knew he was the one. I can't wait to marry him.

Having a guy love you, despite your being a real live, functioning, human being who has less than flattering moments, is always a good sign. I think he really realized it when he was in the hospital for a hernia operation and I was ready to bite the head off the nurse who screwed up his IV. I wouldn't let her touch him after she sent him into a seizure. They had to postpone his operation for 6 hours and I stayed by his side - I think the nurses were afraid of me after that point.

The bolded part just sucks.
