long-distance theme

Me and my husband-to-be dated 2 years long distance because he is in the military and I was in college. It is important to me to incorporate this into our wedding but I have no idea how to make this our theme!!! Help please!!!

    An idea could be incoorperating planes, luggage and tickets into your wedding - mostly easily done in your stationery.

    Escort Cards could be luggage tags.
    STDs be airplane ticket.
    Or you could do geographical things, like name the tables States/Cities where you and FI have lived.
    Things that are personal.
