in Wedding Woes
can you wear a purple shirt with black pants?  I'm guessing gray pants would be better, but I only have black & brown.

Alternatives are, possibly, french blue 3/4 sleeve buttondown , white short sleeve buttondown, green short sleeve buttondown, and olive green sweater set.

The purple shirt is also the most-ironed, though I've got 8 hours of cars, planes, and trains between now & the big meeting, so I'm sure I'll be wrinkled by the time I get there no matter what.

Quick thoughts appreciated!

    Yes, black and brown are both neutrals.  Unless you're concerned the purple is too dark go for it.

    I've work purple with black before, but usually only if it's on the lighter half of the spectrum.

    When I first read this, I thought you were asking US to put purple on.

    My original response was:  I put on a purple shirt this morning before I read this!

    Yes, you can. Would the sweater set be less wrinkled after all the traveling? If so, I might would go with that. For wrinkle reducing purposes, otherwise, you can wear purple and black.
