Fun bachelorette party ideas

Anyone know of any fun/different things to do for a bachelorette party? My sister and best friend are planning one and are having some trouble coming up with some ideas. The previous options that they thought of all fell through, so they're looking for something else. One of the original options was to spend the day out on the lake and just bring some drinks and whatnot. They wanted to plan something a little different than the normal bar hopping scene.

Anybody have any ideas that they know of that aren't too terribly expensive?

    Pinstripes would be a really fun option :-) Can get dinner there, then bowl or play a couple games of bocce ball.

    Pure Romance parties are good and fun. A day on the lake is what I want for mine, but an April wedding means cooler weather ]

    Not a 'event' idea, but I recently went to a bachelorette party and we all brought the bride a pair of sexy panties, hung them up on a clothes line and she had to guess who brought which pair.  It was fun and she got a lot of new sexy underthings!

    Recently, my friends and I rented a lake house in Siren Wisconsin for a girl's weekend away for my friend's bachelorette party! It was a great alternative to the whole penis-necklace-at-the-bars type of party and we all got to spends some quality time together. Plus, the one night we went to the small-town bars, we had much more fun (and spent less money) than we would have in downtown Minneapolis! We all split the costs for the weekend and it was pretty affordable.
