Here's my idea--decorate the family style tables with candles & succulents.
I found inexpensive succulents, but how in the world do I also keep the vase cost down? I thought about covering the circular green plastic pot it comes in with craft paper like this:

Thoughts? Any other inexpensive ideas? If this fails, I'm going with a birch bark vase & gerber daisy idea. Oh--that reminds me, would birch bark covered vases look weird with succulents? I think it might be too different.
Just you you have an idea of the rest of the table, the current plan is for white table cloths with a burlap runner, succulents, and candles.
