Pretty or too busy?

Okay our colors are red and blue, but we are having black tablecloths.  I LOVE damask print.  Do you think having damask on the table with our centerpieces (see picture) - and with pictures around them will be too busy or pretty?

Centerpiece: Add about 3 pictures around the outside of "places we have been" (travel theme)

I think the picture of the centerpiece you have here with the damask print is great.  Adding the photos may be a little much, especially if you're having a dinner with tableware and drinkware taking up space as well.  Can you add the pictures into table numbers or something?

Well we really like the idea of pictures because each table is going to be a "place" (it will say "welcome to _____" and then we wanted a couple pictures of us while we were in that place on the table.

I would rather have the pictures than Damask ... so you do think both is too cluttered?

I dont think it will be too cluttered, here are some pictures I found.

The 2nd one they have a lot of stuff, so I"m sure it will look great! What about printing out the patter on a piece of paper and doing a mockup before you buy?

I think it will look great! I too have been looking for centerpiece ideas and love the submerged flower look. If you are doing them yourself, here are some tips.

    1) Flowers float, so you will have to put a wire around the stem or tie a fishing weight to the bottom to keep them in the water.

    2) Use distilled water. Using tap water will cause little bubbles will form around your flower.

    Hope this helps!
