How long is your reception and what is your timeline? Need some help for a three hour reception.. gamma in advance

    What kind of reception are you having? sit down? cocktail? I'm trying to figure mine out as well because I'm having cocktail and most things online are for sit down...

    I figure talk this over with your band/dj and photographer. That was my plan.

    Here's the timeline I'm doing for a 4 hour reception with hor d'houevres and stations

    7:00pm - Ceremony begins

    7:45pm - Ceremony ends

    7:45 - 8:00pm - Photos at church

    8:00pm - Depart for reception

    8:15pm – Reception begins

    8:15 - 8:35pm -- Bride & Groom photos at Reception site

    8:35 - 8:50pm – Bride & Groom food & champagne in private room; Bustle

    8:50pm – First Dance

    8:55pm – Father/Daughter & Mother/Son Dances

    9:45pm – Cake Cutting & Cake Pull Photos

    10:00pm – Cake Service

    11:15pm – Bouquet/Garter Toss

    12:10pm – Second Line/Depart

    12:15am – Reception Ends; Bridal party escorted back to hotel

    12:45am – After Party Location TBD
