I'm finally officially engaged! YAAAAAAYYYY!!!!

I knew it was going to happen in the next week or so, and I was expecting Sunday or Monday (today,) and I was telling my friends that and they would roll their eyes and say, "it's supposed to be a surprise!"

(I'm a church organist,) and when I went up to the choir loft to get ready for Mass on Saturday, he was there! He totally surprised me! I was NOT expecting him to drive up to visit me! (It's a 3 hour drive.) And then he asked me right there in the church--one of my favorite places! How perfect!

    Congrats!  And that is a very nice rock!

    Random question - can you wear it while you play organ?  I tend to be a little heavy-handed on the piano, so my ring always flips around.  I've taken to having to put it on my necklace for the duration of the Mass.  NBD, it just makes me sad to have to take it off!

    It seemed to be ok this weekend just for the hymns that we did, I'm sure I will get more used to it and better at playing the organ while wearing it. But I think if I'm doing some intense practicing of more difficult repertoire, I will probably take it off.

    Congratulations! And ditto the oooohs and ahhhhs about your ring!

    My FI didn't propose to me at church, but he did put my ring inside a booklet we had of the daily Mass readings. Then he told me I should see the readings for the day...and was very patient when I said I wanted to eat my breakfast first! When I opened the book at first, I thought he was giving me back the ring I'd loaned him so he could get the right size, LOL.

    The reading for that day was the wedding feast at Cana...so it was quite appropo...lovely...and memorable.

    happy sigh to remember...
