The Casino at Roger Williams Park

Has any Rhode Island bride out there used the Casino at Roger Williams Park as their venue? Tell me honestly what you think of it. I'm considering it, but want unbiased opinions.

Went to one held there last year.  They had serving stations in the corners of the room.  Between that, the tables and the dance floor, it was very crowded.  Had a blast, but wouldn't consider it for over 80 people.

I am having my wedding there in May 2011. I am having about 200 people. We are having dinner upstairs and dancing downstairs. I have done a ton of research and talked to a few different casino brides. All were very happy with the venue. I also saw my set-up and talked to a bride that did the transition and she said it worked out fine. Check out Melissa  Robotti's website. She is my photographer and seeing her casino wedding shots made me fall in love with the venue. You can find them from searching roger williams casino on her blog. It took me a while to decide on the venue I visited at least 4 times.

I had my wedding there October 2009.  Melissa was my photographer, so you can see how it looked all set up on her blog.  I LOVED the Casino.  We had 100 guests and it wasn't crowded at all.  We had the DJ on the stage upstairs and a bar set up opposite the stage.  We did 12 tables of 8, 6 on each side.  We had the cocktail hour downstairs.  Our ceremony was at a church in Wickford.  If you have any questions, you can email me at jlsimon56 at hotmail dot com.

I'm having my wedding there in June 2011. We're having around 135. Sit down dinner and dancing are both upstairs. The DJ will be on the stage. I've been there many times for other weddings/events. You can fit around 150 fine. It's a beautiful place for a wedding.
