Skin Bar, Pink Comb or Gina Brozon

Who would you use for make up (and with Skin Bar and Pink Comb hair too)? Here I thought no one would be free for my date because I'm a procrastinator and I waited until today to contact people, but I have all these great options.

If it makes a different Skin Bar is the only clever one to offer me a discount if both my FI and I get our hair and make up done instead of the regular bridal rate. And I'm waiting to hear back from Gina if she works with any stylists. For Pink comb it wouldn't be Michelle, it would be Angela and Marena. Not sure who exactly from Skin Bar.

I could do trials with them all, but that seems a little nuts. So I thought I'd seek out some feedback from you all. Help!

    Hmmm.  I'm using Gina, and I'm really happy with her, but that discount from Skin Bar would be very tempting!  And easy...hair and make-up same company, discount, done. 

    I think Gina recomended a hair person she works with.  It might be on her website as well.  I can't remember for sure though b/c my trial was forever ago!

    I'm using Michelle and Angela for my wedding day. Michelle is actually doing my makeup and then Angela is doing at the girls. My mother went for her trial with Angela recently and LOVED her! My mom is very picky when it comes to makeup and Angela made her feel very comfortable. I feel that doing hair and makeup from the same company is easier because everyone knows how to work with each other.

    I had a makeup trial (airbrush) with Jillyan from Skin Bar and then I had a regular makeup trial with Gina Brozon. I ended up choosing Gina.. I liked her work alot more (just personal preference). If you want, I can send you some pics from both trials, just PM me your email address (or post it here if you don't care, lol).

    Since I'm using Gina, I had to find a hair stylist. I just booked Jeanine LaMacchia. (again, I have pics from the trial if you'd like to see them). Jeanine said she has worked with Gina many times before and loves her, so I'm assuming they get along well together.

    Gina did my makeup and she was awesome.

    I had my hair done at a local salon, then went back home and Gina started on my makeup.

    I wonder if you could negotiate a little discount (or maybe get them to waive any travel fees) if the two of you want your bridal makeup and hair done together?

    Is Marena Michelle's sister? If so, she came with Michelle on my wedding day to do hair. She did a very nice job, but if I'm paying the premium prices, I want the real thing for my own hair. They wouldn't offer you a discount?

    I am using Jillyan for makeup.  I felt like her work made me look the most like me.  When I looked in the mirror I didn't see "makeup".  I don't wear a ton of makeup to begin with so I was going for more of a natural look that Jillyan nailed.  I am not using any of the people you mentioned for hair.

    I am using Skin Bar.  I had a great trial with Jillyan for airbursh make-up but waiting for my hair to grow out more for my hair trial!

    I am also using Jillyan but I am doing a dramatic look, s she is very versatile. She also did my makeup last week for my enagement photos and 2 totally diff looks and it came out fantastic!

    I think Marena is Michelle's sister. Michelle is booked already for my date so Angela and Marena are it. I looked at their work on their facebook fan page and it's all very good. Michelle said she'd work with me on price if both fiancee and I are getting hair and/or makeup. The only issue I now have is I really like Michelle and her girls from our email exchanges but they have a 5 person minimum. I want to have hair and makeup available to the bridesmaids, but they can do whatever they want, even do it themselves, I don't care. I could go to their salon, but it's a little far from my venue.

    Jillyan offered up the discount, which was very saavy of her, and has no minimum. She's starting to look like the winning horse in this race, unless my fiancee decides to opt out of her normal salon (which is all the eff the way in Cliffside Park) and we can get some of the girls to comit to getting their hair and makeup done.
