Wedding Day Timeline

Hello Brides--Looking for some advice on scheduling the timeline of our wedding day activities. Beginning with hair and makeup, getting dressed, first look, pre- and post-ceremony pictures, and reception schedule.

Our ceremony beings at 3pm, and since it's a NYE wedding, the reception will start with cocktail hour at 7, ballroom opening at 8pm. What do, or did, your timelines look like?

I also had a NYE wedding - so much fun! Here was our timeline:

11am - Hair & makeup
noon - lunch catered to hotel room
2pm - First look
2:30 pm - load bus to take pictures
3 pm - 6 pm - location pictures (daylight is scarce during this time of year!)
6:30 pm - arrive at venue (we had ceremony & reception at the same location)
7 pm - ceremony
7:30 pm - cocktail hour (but in reality this was more around 7:45 pm)
8:30 pm - WP entrance
8:40 pm - cake cutting, first dance, speeches
9:00 pm - dinner
10:30 pm - dancing
11:45 pm - same day edit viewing
midnight - NY toast
1pm - reception ends

Mine is in my bio, I also have a 3pm ceremony but my cocktail hour starts at 6.

Here is ours:

10:30-12:45 hair, makeup, lunch
12:45 wedding party meets up (first look)
1-3:00 pictures downtown
3-4:15 travel to ceremony location, extra time included for pictures near ceremony
4:15 line up
4:30-5:15 ceremony
5:15-6:00 receiving line, family photos
7:00 reception
8:00 toasts
8:15 first dance
8:30 dancing starts
9:30 cut cake
11:00 reception ends
