Any good DJ recommendations out there?

Hi everyone. I'm dreading looking for a DJ since I'm not very musically inclined. Any good recommendations you can share for the Poconos?

My mom wants to book the guy that did my brothers wedding, but from what I've seen on the boards he's really really expensive. He's great too and everyone said he was worth every penny for my brother and SIL's wedding, but I don't think he's really in our budget.

Any help would be much appreciated

I just noticed Paris at Good Vibrations had a ton of 5 star recommendations over on Wedding Wire. Has anyone used him or seen him in action before? I'm still waiting on a price quote from him though.

Where is your wedding taking place? What price point were you trying to stay under?

Wedding will be in the Pononos and I'm looking to stay under 2k. From my research, that seams like a reasonable number. Thanks

We used Laser DJ in Bethlehem and paid $750 (in Oct. 2009) They were AMAZING! We got them for 5 hours and it included a DJ & Emcee, monogram in lights and a couple other things I can't remember.

I would give them a call and would hire them again in a heart beat.

DJ Skuba from Skuba entertainment is FANTASTIC and very reasonable (well under your 2k budget with the option to add in other things like fancy lighting, a photobooth, or a slide show of you and your FI for the reception).

my mom works with an awesome dj if you want to get him he is fantastic go to www.gruvin.com his name is mike kresch and he is doing my wedding. there are lots of stuf to pick from there are videos on there and much more. he is a great guy i love him dearly and he will change ur entire wedding night into a great fantastic night. i realy recommend him i havre known him practicaly my whole life. check him out
