  • I've never had pinkberry either.  The town we just moved to literally has 5 different frozen yogurt places.  Am I missing something?

  • mmmmmmmmmmm frozen yogurt. Any of you guys remember TCBY? We used to go there all the time and they were everywhere. I think I only know of one location now, it's depressing.

    FROYO DATE WITH KATE

There's also a Rita's water ice and a Carvel 2 blocks from my house.  DANGEROUS.

  • Mmmm Rita's. Carvel.

How am I craving that despite the fact that I just ate basically a whole thing of Pinkberry with strawberries?

Ps - Pinkberry is so good because it's tart like real yogurt. It's not artificial sweetener-flavored. If you like plain yogurt (not vanilla, but plain) you will absolutely die.

  • i am feeling so left out what are all these mysterious places?? rita's?? carvel? is carvel the same soft serve stuff that I have had in various airports across the country?
  • I've only ever had Carvel in NY and NJ but I believe they probably have other stores. I loooooove their ice cream cakes!

And Rita's is awesome, but totally different. It's kind of like Italian Ice.

  • My last hour of work is going by REALLY REALLY slow

I am also amazed that Carvel & Rita's don't exist everywhere... lol I don't get out much.

Washington State allows 2nd cousins to marry... I think that's weird. So, what if you and your 1st cousin get married in NJ but then move to Washington? Are you still legally married even though Washington doesn't allow it?

  • Weird. NJ is weird. No offense, Kate (I was born there).

You would think I would know the answer to this question, but I totally do not. What a great lawyer, right? I don't know anything about matrimonial or family law (and in fact didn't even take it in law school!).

I want to move to Tahoe.

I would think it would be like gay couples. Gay marriage is allowed in Washington but let's say they moved to Oregon. Would they have all the legal rights still? Perplexing. I'll see if my friend knows the answer.

My gut reaction is that since it's a matter of state law, it depends on the state. I would assume some states would recognize these -- like same-sex marriages -- that legally occured in other states whereas states are free to NOT recognize these marriages.

    It's way too confusing.

I say, just let 'em marry.

ETA: I was trying to make an analogy to same-sex marriage and I missed one step in my thought process. SEE. TOTALLY CHECKED OUT. :)

  • My friend says the new state wouldn't recognize the marriage if it's not legal there.

Huh. Then I guess it's different than same-sex marriage, because some states will recognize same-sex marriages that legally occured in other states, even if their state doesn't actually allow same-sex marriage. You learn something new everyday! :)

  • OK BETCHES, I'M OUT!

I will probably be back sporadically next week but not nearly as much as usual. I'll definitely be around at times though!
