[QUOTE]I never got nude shoes...but after seeing a picture of a poster (i am horrible with names...she had on a light blue wool coat and nude heels walking on the sidewalk near snow) I really started liking them. I bought myself a pair for a wedding and i love them...but i need to get those heel things so i don't walk out of them.

That's Mel. She's hardly ever here anymore, which is sad because she's hilarious.

<div>I second this. I looked into those venues and the cocktail hour part of the menu package they sent me was several pages long. JUST FOR THE COCKTAIL HOUR. </div><div>
</div><div>Made venue hunting after that quite depressing. "What do you mean, you only offer five cocktail hour stations?" was the sort of thing I thought post-visiting Angel's venue.</div>
  • Bay- don't anyone tell Cindy.  I'm not sure I'm ready for her to come back....
ACTUALLY PUT OUT THE CINDY SIGNAL!

Eeyore- thanks!  It was called a communion dress and a prom dress by some family members.  fuckk them!!! :D

Vice- I bet that was an entertaining reception.

  • JK -- Cindy was my ban as mod.  She was a twat who went around insulting other people's weddings and talking about how she had like 40 butlered apps and carving stations, etc.  She was incredibly pretentious.

  • I have a small (read, giant) nude shoe addiction.  I bet I have 10 pairs of nude, beige, or tan shoes.
  • It was SO much fun.  I could never have afforded one at our wedding.  I don't know if I'd ever partake again, but at least we have funny memories from it.

Everyone did a surprisingly good job of holding their alcohol.

That or I was too drunk to notice how drunk everyone else was (which sounds more likely).

I think I remember you saying that, Muni. When I bought my dress, a younger girl and her mother bought the exact same one for the girl's prom.

I never even thought about nude heels until there was a post on here asking for shoe suggestions.  Now I think they're the best shoes in the world.  And still don't own a pair, which I should.

[QUOTE]Angel, it's MY DAY.  In all honesty, it's the only thing I've been firm on with them.  They're wearing short dresses so I want the shoes to match.  Famous Footwear has great sales.

That's how I feel, so I told them they'll probably all be wearing a silver shoe of their choice. Supposedly silver isn't "commonly" found in people's wardrobe's, so I should pay. I think that's stupid, they can go to Payless and get them for $15 if they want. It would be one thing if I was asking them to buy Louboutins or something..

  • Eeyore,  I remember you telling that story! I cannot imagine your dress as a prom dress...it's such a WEDDING GOWN!

And thanks, ladies, for telling the others that they could suck it.  That's my opinion too!  FWIW, at least two of them ate their words at the wedding!
  • I do actually own some nude shoes to go with this dress but they're probably pushing 5" and I'm not that skilled at heels. I like mine to be around 3-4".
