Lighting Question

Hello -

Anyone have thoughts about lighting needs for an outdoor wedding in NH in July? Ceremony starts at 3PM, official reception ending probably around 8. Reception will be under a big-ish tent (walls up unless bad weather). We looked up when the sun sets and its not until about 8:30 at that time of year, but that doesn't really help us know what we'll really need. Anyone with experience or ideas - thanks in advance!

Re: Lighting Question

  • If your reception ends at 8 p.m. it seems like extra lighting might be unecessary.  I would think if you had rope lighting that usually lines the perimeter of the tent that would be more than enough.  If it's a bright day you would probably be fine without any lighting.  Our wedding is in June & we are having some uplighting outside and some string lights around the tent but our reception goes until 11 p.m.
