How do you mail save-the-date matchboxes? Help!

K, fellow brides . . . I love the matchbox idea for save-the-dates, especially since me and my honey met online on Match.com. However, I do not know how in the heck you mail them. One, does the post office allow it. Two, what do you mail them in. Help!

They are (obviously) flamable so I would stop by the post office and ask about it before ordering anything.

Maybe you could still do the matchboxes, but without the actual matches in there? If you wanted to put something inside, perhaps you could put in a small trincket or a photo of you and your FI.

But, like the PP said, I would definitely check with the post office first before sending or ordering anything.

I'm pretty sure only safety matches can be mailed through ground service.

Maybe you could just make your Save the Dates in the form of a matchbook? Kind of like this (link).
