  • This is the website of my photographer. I know that she didn't include the price on her website but I just received an email from her yesterday regarding boudoir pictures.  http://inkspotphotography.com/ She charges between $125 - $370 dependi…
  • I was at Scott's Walnut Creek last weekend for a round table lunch. I think that they can accomodate you and your guests. They have multiple rooms that can accomodate between 18 -175. Good luck!
  • Congrats!!!  Make sure you get your Photographer and baker booked also. A good photographer is definitely going to cost some money but it's worth it in my opinion. I found my baker through yelp and online search and she is awesome! If you find som…
  • If most of your guests are traveling from east coast, then 8pm is their 11pm. They might not want to party and would like some rest. Plus, for your guests who have never been to San Francisco before, they might want to take an opportunity to wonder …
  • I purchased their gowns for the wedding, which are not cheap. So, I got them something small but not wedding related. I got each of them a monogramed purse hanger. I think I got it from The Knot's store and they are not expensive at all.

  • Try the Preownedweddinggown.com.  They have sample dresses on sale or used one with a fraction of the price. However, Lazaro is pretty expensive. Maybe you can find something similar from other designers?

  • I sent all of the non-responders nice emails asking if they've received their invites. Just in case the post office lost it. 1 person said that they have never received it. Luckily I checked in with him. I don't see anything wrong with checking in w…
  • I took a few weeks off after the invites were send out. Met with the day-of coordinator, caterer, and photographer all at the same time on Tuesday. The result, both FI and I were very overwhelmed. Lots of questions and many of the answers were "I do…
  • My dress was too long on me too and I didn't want to loose the bottom style. My seamstress was able to shorten it by picking up pieces and sew it directly to the design so no fabric cut was required. This is my dress: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dr…
  • Good posts! It's good to see what other people's perspectives about children and weddings. OP, my suggestions to your dilema is to give "duties" to your daughter's companions. Why not have 2 flower girls and 2 ring bearers? Or, 4 flower girls? Or if…
  • Congrats!!!
  • How bout incorporating the kids to the wedding? a couple ring bearers, a couple of ushers, a couple of flower girls.  I see that you posted total kids among your guests will only be 12 kids and if you wanted to invite 8 of them, only 5 kids left. …
  • We finally received all of the RSVPs. I am still finishing up my centerpieces and other small things. I am sure I will get them done in the next 25 days.  On the lighter note, my FMIL decided to try false eyelashes for the very first time since sh…
  • Wow...what a post! First of all, sorry that you have to deal w/ the drama.  Moving on to the suggestion. I think talking with your FBIL to not take his kids is not going to work by the way he is behaving. I think you should ceased all contact/argu…

  • I purchased a sash from Laurie and she was super helpful! Very reasonable and she even mailed me the swatches for the sash to make sure that it matches my dress.  http://www.etsy.com/shop/LillyKnots?page=1
  • I am paying $1,900 for 2 photographers for a whole day, plus engagement pictures, and medium resolution DVD. I also added a photobooth with the same photographer for $200. As we all know, photographer is one of the most important and what I consider…
  • I have to agree with the 3 point overbustle. Love the bottom of your train and definitely need to be showcase for everyone to see .  It's also fun to experiement with different type of bustles as long as you have time to do it . Good luck!
  • @Mishe+Neo. Have to agree about Facebook. Some people are so critical there so I chose not to post any wedding details beside "EEkkkk" "tick tock tick tock" and some other meaningful blurbs just for me ahahhahaha.  And totally agree about this boa…
  • Since it's a total of 20 kids, I agree it will be making a dent to your budget. That will be more than $300.  At this point, I think it is totally up to you. I think it will be easier for guests to understand why there are children in the wedding …
  • We are using Inkspot Photography in the East Bay area. I think she travels to SF also. Her package is $2100 for 2 photographers for the whole day, a wedding album, DVD, and engament session.
  • My due date for my RSVPs is March 8th. I started emailing people a week ago. Again, I just asked if they have received their invites. All of them actually volunteer the info whether or not they are coming without me asking. I'd say since most of you…
  • I am having a sunday wedding also. My rehearsal is going to be on Saturday late morning since there is a wedding in the evening. Then, we'll do rehearsal lunch instead of dinner.  I think having a rehearsal on the weekend is easier for everyone. I…
  • Hmmm...personally, you need to wear the shoes/boots first to make sure it is comfortable and stretch out to your feet. I wouldn't want to wear a totally brand new shoes for any type of ocassions at all. Not too fond of blisters. So, I've been wearin…
