  • I'm doing a birdcage veil with feather flower.  It will be on throughout ceremony and thru some pictures.  Then I will remove it and just wear the feather flower thru the remainder of pictures, cocktail hour, and reception.

  • I flew in town for 4 days and ran through about 30 places that we had found in our price range (city and burbs).  Fiance was not with me, but my mom, maid of honor and matron of honor (who are all still local) were.  All I really knew was that we di…
  • Thanks Ladies!!
  • Great!  Thank Ladies!
  • I am either having my grandmothers dress altered or buying this one I found that I love.  If I do my Grandmothers I'm having pockets added  if I buy the dress it already has pockets.  As long as you have a full skirt, no one but you will know you ha…
  • I was just about to post the same thing!  We need to learn the foxtrot in either a group (to save the dough) or individual setting.  I hope you get responses.
  • Hi Ladies, Three months after my wedding and I am just getting to posting my For Sale stuff now. I have cylinder glass vases, gemstones, paper items, birdcage veil items, parasol, and lot more.  This  http://catandryanweddingplanning.weebly.com/fo…
  • We are DIYing them.  It's a Catholic ceremony so we want people to know what's happening since not everyone is Catholic.  I'm hoping to start designing them today and will print thru vistaprint as a brochure if we can get a deal or else i'll bring e…
  • Ours was a weekend retreat and it was pretty horrible.  Thankfully we bonded with one couple which felt similarly, but otherwise what a waste of money and time.  It was really catered to couples getting married right out of college that were not liv…
  • We went on the Catholic Pre Cana weekend which looks to be very similiar.  Our was over night and a campgrounds.  Honestly, really disliked it.  I'm in my early 30's and my FH and I already live together (a big no no in the church) and it made us fe…
  • We just booked with Jolie last week.  It really depends on if you are looking for real artsy photos or traditional (in my opinion) cause like others have said you cannot pick your photographer with Jolie.  All of their photographers I trust to do pr…
  • Thanks so much Ladies for the advice! I'm moving forward with all the shirts.  We are heading out 8/12!  Anyone else going to be there?  To all the Brides next weekend have a great time!
  • I would address it and Guest if they are out of town guests.  I know a lot of our out of towners bought airline tickets before they even received the invite.
  • At one point my FH mentioned it to me and admittedly I threw a fit. Things have sorta changed since the market tanked though and now it has become a non-issue.

  • I second this.  No reason to get into the story but I second this.
  • Oh yes-great uncle is not attending cause he said it feels too formal to wear his overalls.  Are you serious? Yes your right it is a little more formal than overalls.
  • Cake was included in our per person price thru the caterer, but we are semi DIYing our flowers.  We are only using flowers for bouquets (10), bouts (22), and corsages (3)-no centerpieces or anything else with flowers.  I am ordering from fiftyflower…
  • We have 3.5 hours between our ceremony and the cocktail hour due to the required scheduling of our church and our reception venue.  Our reception is at a zoo with an exhibit closed off for our wedding's cocktail hour so we will definitely be there. …
  • I was having the same problem with my printer.  My FI stepped in before i dropped kicked the stupid printer out the window and said he would try to find someone in town to print everything.  He called around and found a place to print out our invite…
  • I have heard that the ones that Mac has and applies will last up to four days.  You could also consider eyelash extensions.  They are individually applied one at a time and need to be touched up every 6-8 weeks.  Those can cost between $200 and $300.
  • I went to Maui a few years back with my Mom for her 50th.  We didn't stay at the Westin, we stayed next door at the Sheraton Resort and Spa.  We were not fans of the Westin.  There were a lot of kids (but we were there in July) but that didn't reall…

  • I must have looked at thirty unique venue ideas (meaning no hotels, country clubs, or reception halls) and we finally decided on the Brookfield Zoo.  We are getting married there on 9/11/2010.  To echo what someone else had said we are being taken c…
  • Without a doubt-especially on the rsvp side.  We contracted at only 150 since everyone is coming from out of state pretty much.  We know we are going to go over and admittedly are worried about the cash but we just hope we don't go over capacity at …
  • Our colors are purple and gold.  We are getting married at a zoo, so to follow that we have incorporated peacock feathers into a lot of our decor-on our invitations, pew decor at church, bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages, and seating at our sweet…
  • I'm pretty pale too, and pretty much burn every time I am in the sun.  Unfortunately, spray tans always go on unevenly on me (I have even tried having a professional exfoliation before hand but to no avail) and they always tend to sweat off color on…

  • Wow-I bet it is sad to see her go!  But seriously, that kind of a person ruins wedding days for the bride.  You are better off.
  • Yep we are doing them. We are having a Catholic Ceremony with a guest list over 300 and most people coming in from out of town.  We figured it would introduce everyone involved  along with letting them know exactly what the heck is going on.  Our pr…
