I know we should tip our bartenders & catering staff. Who else are we supposed to tip at the end of the night?

Hi! I am sure this has been asked before, but here I go. When it comes to tipping, I usually always leave 20%, but am questioning the catering waiters for our wedding. The catering contract indicates that no tip in added to the invoice, and when reviewing the invoice, the rate for the cater waiters is $22/hour, MUCH more…

We insisted on no tip jar and when one was put out, told our planner to remove it. We tipped all servers based on the catering total. The bartenders were employed by the caterers.

I know it's customary to tip your vendors, but which ones (DJ, Photographer, Caterer, officiant) and how much should the tip be? My FI says that the waitstaff also gets tipped. We only tipped the people working for the caterer. If they own their own business, they don't need a tip.

We have 20% service charge added on and a $800 "executive service" fee. I will have the catering manager if any of these charges includes the tips. As far as tipping the staff at a catering hall. How would we tip everyone? Each individual waiter/server wld get an enevlope?

Kaesha - that is totally fine! Our gratuity is already figured into the price of our catering, so we aren't going to tip our caterers either. I feel like tipping can really go overboard with weddings...
