The Comfort Inn gives discount wedding rates on the general hotel availability. I found this to be perfect for my wedding since it let all my guests (about 30 rooms) stay at the same hotel!

Hi we are using first student. The bus is picking up our guests at the hotel in Hyannis, and bringing them to the church and then reception in Mashpee, then back to hotel at the end of the night. The cost is $400, hope this helps!

thanks for the help and information. We went and looked at a bunch of the hotels and got the best value and the Hamptons Inn on North Ave. The hotel is recently remodeled and they gave a great price for guest which includes breakfast

Like I said, a lot of venues have relationships with hotels in their area. This allows you to have your reception at a place other than the hotel, but in many cases provides transportation to and from the reception for the guests.

I put hotel information in ours. Just the room block and the hotel we are staying at. The majority of our guests won't go to the website for something like that, so I wanted to make it easier for them.

Do you have a budget/guest count in mind? There are tons of hotels that do weddings in the area. I went to a wedding at the Marriott Lincolnshire that was beautiful. We looked at the Hotel Orrington in Evanston, which was beautiful.

We only blocked off one hotel because we're providing shuttles for our guests to/from the reception. I figured if people wanted to stay elsewhere, they could find their own pricier hotel :)

Mayfair Farms and the Manor (both in West Orange) will do it for around 100 per head. Mayfair Farms has a relationship with a local hotel and the hotel will shuttle your guests back and forth to the venue for free.

I can't remember the name of the hotel in Rochester, but my mom went to a wedding at Addison Oaks in Aug and this hotel provided shuttle service to their guests to and from Addison Oaks. My mom was really impressed.

I would say directions to both the ceremony/reception location and hotel. This way if guests want to check into the hotel prior to the ceremony they will have directions to it. They will also know how to get to the ceremony/reception location.
