Central Maine Wedding Venues!

Hi everyone!! I'm recently engaged and very, very slowly starting to look for wedding venues in the Central Maine area for Oct. 2013 (just really want to get an idea of budget for now), so what had you all heard about different places??

Thanks for any input!! xoxo

What area do you consider Central Maine?  I've done some pretty extensive research into venues recently trying to find my own so I'm happy to share any info if I've looked at any in your area.

not sure what your budget/style is but before we decided to do an outdoor wedding we had signed on with The Royal Oak Room in Lewiston. It's beautiful. $800 for the rental and the dinner which included a champagne toast, four apps, a salad, and two dinner choices for $55 or $65 pp.

I'm having my reception at the Lewiston Ramada, in the ballroom. The prices are reasonable, the space is gorgeous, and Diane is wonderful to work with.

I actually have a ton of vendor recommendations for the Lewiston/Auburn area, feel free to PM me. :D

AP:  Vendors are not allowed to post on these boards.  Reported!

I am getting married at The Lakewood Inn Restaurant.  We are having both our ceremony and reception right there.  The venue fee is $1200.00 and we are paying around $40.00/head including tax and gratuity.

Millennium in Palmyra is very popular where I am from.  Weddings start at $1700.00 for food, venue and DJ.

Morgan Hill which is in Hermon is also a popular place in Central Maine.

Now,  I consider where I am from to be central Maine, but some consider it to be the lewiston or Augusta areas.

I'm getting married at Martindale Country Club in Auburn, Me. Great views and awesome staff! $500 room fee and extra $100 (i think) for ceremony but they waved this for me. Have to do catering with them and options vary from 20-50 per person. ALso includes cake cutting, and champagne toast, as well as fruit and cheese platters for cocktail hour.

Has anyone heard anything about venues in waterville or augusta areas? I am looking to do an outdoor ceremony but have an indoor reception.

    Thanks for the help!

Martindale Country Club is our top choice. Went to look at it. We really liked it. Not much to choose from in the area. Seems like the best from other places I looked into. So much is included for what you pay. I think it will be the place for us to. I don't know if youy asked but there are no extra hidden fees. I asked if we decided to have reception go longer if there is a fee he said no. That is a huge plus I think and bartender included. There are know for the good quilty food they have to. So you know your guests will also have a good meal. So resonable for price per head.
  • Don't know what area exactly you are looking but, its hard to find a nice place with not to much to choose from. Well from the area Im looking in Auburn, lewistion,Gray,Brunswick,Topsham. My top choice is Martindale Country Club in Auburn. Price is great for all that you get and nice spots for pics and cermony spot outside is a nice view I think Great reception room. Also that back up inside if need be is a plus. I do have some info I can send you if you want. I think that is going to be who we go with. They seem to be the best in the area. I would call and get info or request info at their website. You would be happy I think with what is included. That is what makes me happy.

  • Hi, I am an Admin for a wedding group on Facebook and we are centered out of Gardiner (which is about as central Maine as it gets) The name of the group is Trina Menard's Bridal Group - there is a long story to such a tacky name but it's not for now. Here is the link and I hope you come join us! http://www.facebook.com/groups/303948209642680/#!/groups/303948209642680/ It's a great way to meet local venders!
