In Response to Help please! Need some advice.:

Ok, so I have a few topics/questions. One is, my future mother in law came at me full force because I am not having my fiance's sister in my bridal party. His best man is his brother and groomsmen is my brother (my fiancé and my lil bro are SUPER close; practically inseperable lol) my moh is my sister and bridesmaid my cousin who both have been my best friends forever! My fiance's sister lives in Hawaii, her and I do not get along very well and when we told her when our wedding date was her response was "well idk if I'll be able to come, depends on work, I'll know a month or a couple weeks before hand." I explained that to my fiance's mom, she said she understands but I can tell it still bugs her, what do I do? Do I just leave it alone? Two, Comments/opinion on mother-son dance? Are you supposed to have a mother-son dance? I have not been to many weddings that have had them, but I know my fiance's mother wants to do it. Also opinions on the dollar dance! It's huge in my family, but I think it's a little crazy (I get embarrassed easily when all eyes are on me haha) Thanks! ;)

If your MIL is hell-bent on her daughter standing up, she needs to talk to your FI. He can have his sister stand up on his side. As far as the mother-son dance, yes, it's required. Your nuptials won't be legal without one.

(HINT -- that was sarcasm). The only things that are required for a successful wedding are the bride, groom, officiant, and the witness to sign the marriage licence. Everything else is fluff and not required.

Does your FI want a mother-son dance? It's his call to make, not yours.

As far as the dollar dance, if it's a family tradition or common in your social circle (this also applies to his family and his social circle -- remember, there are two of you getting married), then do it. If you and your H have never been to a wedding reception that had a dollar dance, don't do it. If you don't want to do it, don't do it.

If you get emabarrased when all eyes are on you, maybe you should re-think having a wedding with guests. Because all eyes will be on you and your groom.

fiancee = vag ** fiance = peen ** Babies shouldn't be born with jobs ** **They're called first loves for a reason -- more are supposed to come after. You don't get a medal for marrying your prom date. Unless you're imoan. Then you get an all-expenses paid cruise to the Mediterranean and you get to meet Jared Padalecki on the flight over while wearing your jammies. But still no medal. **

Why the... well, it wasn't DD'd, but the topic was changed to make it look like it was deleted.

OP, DDing is considered rude.

The mother & son dance is up to your FI & his mom.

As far as FSIL issue goes, personally wouldn't have someone I'm not close to in my WP.  If your FI wants to include her he can have her stand up on his side.

In regards to the $ dance - If you're uncomfortable with it then don't do it.
