So, everyone I've asked this says, "Honey you won't barely eat a thing at your own reception!" but I'm still going to ask anyhow: am I the only spaz desperately worried about spilling food on my dress? I'm clumsy in the best of times, and this won't be my shining hour for grace, I'm sure, with all the excitement. And while I doubt I'll pack away a seven course meal, even a few bites of our sit-down dinner (and for health reasons, I do have to eat SOMETHING or I'll spend the rest of my evening feeling very unwell) could get me into spillage trouble. I'm not exaggerating, I'm a nightware with a fork in my hand.
What to do? My FH says I shouldn't be ashamed to drape a nice white linen napkin as a bib. Honestly, he's got a point -- better that than walk around with food on my dress the rest of the reception, right? But would that be a huge faux pas, though? Has anyone else worried about this, or is it just me?
