FLOWERPOTS! Ok, so I bought flower pots awhile back (they're cheap, little, plastic pots that look like claypots) thinking that I would use them to hold my favors. My wedding is April 2012 and the colors are purple and hues of yellow, my theme is simply spring/flowers. SO, my idea was to put a ribbon with a daisy around the pot and then use the purple tulle circles to put candy in and have the top of the tulle stick out to resemble a flower. Is that crazy? lol!
Any ideas what I could do with these..I like the idea of it but I really didn't want to use candy but I cannot think of anything else to put in the tulle/pots..
Suggestions???

That sounds cute, or you could do a little pack of seeds with a sign saying something like plant a flower for " insert names"

I would buy a thing of bulbs and plant them in the pots. You plant bulbs in the fall and by spring they should/ will have bloomed. Bulbs are perrenials, meaning they will come back every year unless something gets them, and the majority of them bloom in the spring. Attach a little saying with the date of your wedding. Since your colors are purple and yellow, I would plant Daffodils or tulips for the yellow and hyacinth or crocus for the purple, or iris' which come in both colors.

I thought about doing that myself I was going to use the quote:
"Please plant these seeds and when they bloom remember the love shared today by the bride and groom"
but then i changed it to an edible favor.

What about using them as double duty (favors and escort cards)? Get a wooden dowel, paint it green and than shape the escort card (seating card) into a flower following your color. PLace a bulb in the pot with some dirt covering it and on the back of the escort cards put flower directions on it. On the pots, get some permant marker and write your "thank you's" on it.
