J and I did our engagement photos back at the end of June. Our photographer calls it a "get to know you" session, as opposed to an engagement session, because the point is to get to know each other and get comfortable posing for the camera. I'm glad we did it because going through the photos, I can see the ways I do or don't want to pose during our wedding photos.
I also super appreciate all the help and advice I got from everyone here about what to wear and how to get my make-up squared away. I ended up panicking at the last moment and wearing something really casual, but I did take the advice about Sephora. I may have walked away with more than $50 worth of stuff (oops), but omg I have such fancy make-up now.
If you're in the Boston area, I hiiiighly recommend doing photos on the Common/at the Public Garden. It was easy to find so many nice places to take photos, so there was a lot of variety.
