We're visiting my Grandma tonight and taking her out to dinner/spending the night.

Tomorrow morning we're getting up early to tailgate with my SIL and her boyfriend for Big Ten college football!  (SIL/BF's school is playing the school where DH and I attended).  AND i just found tickets for $20 each...so pumped.  Staying with my best friend tomorrow night.

Sunday visiting some other friends in the area who had a baby girl in July (2 days after our wedding, and she was there and looking fabulous!) who we haven't seen since the wedding.  I LOVE BABIES and can't wait to meet her :)

ETA: I've been a little baby-crazy lately.  We've decided together that we're going to wait til next summer to TTC.  Pretty sure H is worried I'm going to change my mind after meeting this cutie on Sunday.

H is doing a 104 mile bike race tomorrow, and 2 of his friends are coming from out of town to do the race as well. He told one of his friends (and his wife) they could stay with us all weekend, in our small house, with ONE tiny bathroom. I truly like his friend and his wife, but I don't want to share our tiny bathroom with anyone for 2 days. Also, while he is doing the race, I have to hangout with his friend's wife. I don't know her well enough to feel like I don't need to entertain her, and I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what we're going to do. First world problems, wah wah, I guess I'm kind of being a baby.
I hate that feeling! Could you go to a movie, Christmas shopping, take a pottery class or something?
Shopping isn't a bad idea. H actually suggested we go to this open air mall along the route so that we can get some breakfast and then come out and watch him ride by (he really wants me to get a picture of him during the race). The mall has some good dining options, but has mostly higher end stores. It does have a really cute local toy store though, and she has 3 kids, so that might be fun for her.

I really hope she is a fan of the boozy brunch. That would make this much easier!

    Sounds like a good weekend!

We are traveling to Philadelphia this weekend because FI is running the marathon on Sunday. Saturday we will drive out there, attend the expo (where FI will get his race stuff and I will buy a new sparkly runner headband) and then, most importantly, cheesesteaks!

My friend is hosting girl's night Saturday night with Cards Against Humanity and she has an adorable new kitten to play with. She's training for a marathon and to be a fitness instructor so she normally eats only healthy...so every few months she will host one these and get SOOO excited about serving junk food. The rest of us are like um cool...it's our normal every Saturday food. hahah

Tonight I have an event for work, I'm hoping to just get it started and then go home and hang out with FI.

Saturday I have by BFF's bachelorette party. Should be fairly low key and fun.

And then Sunday I'm going to help FI get the apartment ready for Thanksgiving. Mostly just some light cleaning needs to be done and we have to put together the table.

Tonight we are going shopping to spend our Kohl's cash and getting dinner, then I am making brown sugar cheesecake and prepping to make roasted balsamic Brussels sprouts with pancetta which is for Saturday. Saturday is my mom's side of the family Thanksgiving and I am contributing the cheesecake and sprouts. We will also do the drawing for secret Santa for Christmas that day. Sunday will be grocery shopping and relaxing. Hopefully I will get to play Don't Starve: Reign of Giants sometime too.

Don't know if anyone has asked yet but Um RECIPE please!!! That sounds soooooo good!! I had ACL, meniscus, and cartilage surgery yesterday morning so a whole lot of nothing for me this weekend. Riding out the Percocets lol . Maybe get some well-wishers dropping by :)

@cupcait927‌...enjoy your birthday weekend! Last night FI and I just stayed home. It was a great night of absolutely nothing! This morning I have my hair and makeup trial, followed by lunch with my parents and then my second fitting. After that is church with my father, and then FI will be back with the kids. Tomorrow probably just relaxing and hanging out with the kids before bringing them back home.

Unfortunately, I will be working all weekend. For the second time in less than a month, I am stuck fixing a particular co-workers colossal fuck up with no time to spare. I basically have to get 3 months-worth of work done by tuesday because this bitch can't figure out how to do her damn job properly. RAGE.

I do get to take a break for a friend's son's birthday party in a few hours, though. We are going to Mega Trampoline, so that should be fun for the kids (...and me... and H)!

So I'm making that duck tonight (with a sweet/spicy glaze) and FI requested duck fat mashed potatoes (which are kind of the whole point of cooking a duck) AND stuffing, I guess we're all getting fat tonight.

I'm making szechwan sesame green beans and roasted asparagus (with bearnaise and shrimp and scallops in a kind of asparagus Oscar, because our dinner guests are into seafood and why not if we're already eating 3000 calories each, right?), and for dessert I made bourbon apple pie and raspberry pie at FI's request (although pie crust is my nemesis...I do the kind with vodka but I still think it's chewy) and I'll do a quick homemade coconut milk ice cream too because FI's peanut allergy means I can almost never buy store bought ice cream as it always "may contain traces."

I think that's about 600x more info than anyone needed, haha.

No, it's not. Keep talking... :) Sounds delicious!

I'm dealing with the weirdest hangover. I'm not sick, just really sleepy. And I drank way too much to not be sick.

    I'm making pumpkin roll tomorrow.

I made some cheesecake dip, am feeling fat and happy, and see no reason to get off the sofa the rest of the day unless I have to pee.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I'm working today, because my boss is gone next week and I'm in charge, so I need to catch up on my work before I have to tackle hers. Sunday we will do a boozy brunch and watch football.

    @cupcait927 Happy early birthday!!

Today I had Panera butternut squash ravioli, a sugar cookie candle burning, and a fleece heated blanket. So glad that I'm a camel, and never have to get up lol

DH and I just spent the better part of the day cleaning the pantry because of pantry moths. We threw out a ton of stuff and cleaned everything thing else off. Then reorganized and bought a trap in case any happened to survive. Then we went to Ikea, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Frys all for Thanksgiving.

Still have not found the special flour DH wants to use for pie crust and biscuits (he refuses to buy anything else) or kefir cheese for the green bean casserole. Kefir looks and tastes a lot like a very creamy yogurt. It is fantastic- but very hard to find. I'll probably have to go to a Persian market for it.

DH just cleaned up the kitchen and I'm sitting on the couch. I think I may go take a bath. We plan on hiking and seeing Intersteller probably tomorrow. I also need to start getting TG stuff done, like roasting pumpkin.

Seriously loving all these food posts. I went to the wine show last night that I posted about earlier and drank wayyy to much. It's a wine AND food show but I guess wine was all I cared about. Bad idea.

Woke up at 5am this morning still slightly drunk and made a frozen pizza because it was all that I had, and ate the WHOLE thing. But now 12 hours later I'm hungry again and wish I had the skill to cook all the amazing sounding dishes you're all describing!

Bad pics because it's all just hanging out the oven keeping warm for the next few minutes, but here's some proof of my success, haha...(no sauce on the asparagus yet because I would cry real tears if my bearnaise broke so it's safer to wait...) And yes, that's a T-Rex on that shitty pie. The other just has streusel topping so I didn't have to subject anyone to more of my pastry crust than necessary.

Friday was my birthday. I had work but made skinny buffalo chicken dip for my office under the joke that this was the one day of the year where I could make it just because and my boss cannot yell at me that im spoiling her diet. DH picked me up from work and we had dinnerat a favorite mexican place.Yay for margaritas!

Dh also rented two films I wanted to see. Watched one Friday night and the second one on Saturday morning. Had a back specific massage as a special treat for me. Dh was going tongrill but it was raining so we had yummy leftovers. I did some painting.

Today, hoping the rain stops soon so we can grill- DH is mad he wants to make me a birthday steak. May rewatch first two hunger games films in Netflix. Dont want to.deal with crowds at the moment.

Overall doing exactly what I wanted for my birthday- relaxing with my husband and ignoring the world and responsibilities.
