I feel like someone else is probably making a thread right now as well so I'll keep this short- how was your weekend?!

Mine was pretty great. I had my first camping experience. We had about 12 people over a friend's house where we set up tents and had a massive bonfire (like 6 feet wide, flames 30 feet high). We grilled, make smores, we piked apples from his trees- he has 60 acres it's so peaceful and full of fruit trees, it's amazing. We even had a surprise birthday cake for my H. Just as I suspected the actual sleeping part in the tents sucked hahah. I was freezing and just didn't sleep well at all, so H & I spent half of yesterday napping in bed. I don't know if I'll be into the camping part again but all in all it was a great time.

ETA- omg have to mention this as well. So my brother and his wife fucking suck. I have done so much for them like babysitting and getting their kids gifts and I never get a thank you from them. They have invited me to come over and hang out exactly zero times in the past 2 years. They basically have no relationship with me other than asking me to babysit which is bullshit so I stopped saying yes a while ago. Also note that I tried initiating many times and each time I invited them over or asked to come over, I was blown off. So anyways, SIL actually texted me yesterday asking if I'd housesit their 2 dogs for a week while they went to Maine. HAAAAAAA are you fucking kidding me??!?! I'm astounded by the audacity!! Hell to the NO.

Friday right before I left work, my mom texted me that she was at the beach with my cousin, her daughter, and her daughter's friend, so I ran home, changed and headed to the beach. I honestly can't remember the last time I was at the beach so it was an awesome afternoon. On the way home I ran some errands, and then BF and I checked out a new Mexican place for dinner. The service was terrible at first, but it turned around and the food and margarita's were amazing so it was all good.

Saturday we went to my cousin's son's 1st birthday party. It was a good time. That night we came home and BF and I just lounged around the house. It was so nice to not do anything.

Yesterday we went out to breakfast with my cousin and her kids. When we got home, both BF and I got sick. It was not pretty, seeing as we only have one bathroom. After that seemed to pass, we watched a bootleg version of the new Terminator and I did laundry like it was going out of style.We grilled chicken for dinner and watched Get Hard. It was okay, but not as funny as I thought it would be.

@jenna8984 I'm the same way about camping- I don't like the sleeping on the ground part. I need a real bed.

The last few days have been great! I went to OOB on Thursday/Friday with some family. It was kind of a random trip but I'm glad I went. I ate alllll the lobster and loved having some cooler temps in Maine. Saturday and Sunday were spent with my H. We went to the drive-in on Saturday and saw Trainwreck and Vacation. Vacation was soo funny! Trainwreck was too, but you could hear everyone laughing when Vacation was playing. I love the drive-in because everyone goes in sweatpants and you can bring in your own snacks! 

Yesterday was just cleaning up around the house and shopping at target. A pretty lazy Sunday.

Today I am going to go to the beach and read. It's cooler today so hopefully it isn't crowded.

@jenna8984 - S'mores sound GREAT.  

My weekend was crazy.  Crazy, crazy, crazy.  MIL was supposed to leave yesterday, but she's decided to stay until Thursday.  *sigh*.  I'm ready to have my house and my life back.  My house is so messy, and I had a clean scheduled for tomorrow, but I'll have to cancel it since MIL will still be chilling around the house.

I have tiny, baby cramps and my face broke out a little bit.  I'm fully expecting my period this week.  UGH.  H and I got in one sexy time while his mom was here.  On the floor while the shower was running.  Really romantic.  Grrrrrr.  She is messing up our groove.

My new boss's boss is starting today.  I also have 3 meetings.  I have been queasy for a week.  GRUMP GRUMP GRUMP.

However, I don't have to cook tonight because we have a zillion leftovers.  I can do a quick work out and then clean the house.  Hooray!  Having a messy/dirty house stresses me out.

Our weekend was great! Friday I met one of my friends for coffee after work and she brought her little girl who is almost 4 months old. She was really tired and not happy to be outside of her house so we couldn't hang out long before the tears started.

Saturday DH and I got a lot of cleaning done around the house and I put together a few things in the nursery. THEN....@labro hosted a couple's shower for us! It was sooo much fun! We had a ton of amazing food...all made by @labro and lots of drinks. The guests played this bottle beer chugging game that was a lot harder than what they would imagine and we opened gifts. We had a great time!

Sunday we had our first birthing class. It was very informative, nothing that we haven't heard before but it was good to go over everything and kind of organize my thoughts on labor. I always have to remind myself that it's not going to be this quick thing once contractions start lol. It's not like the movies haha. We have another class next Sunday so we will receive some more information.

@500days I'm not sure. My cousin and her kids didn't get sick, so it had to be either my chocolate chip pancake or the coffee because those are the only things we had that they all didn't. We have been to the place tons of times before and never gotten sick so it was weird.

@jenna8984 Your camping experience sounds great! I miss camping, we went last year but didn't go this year...maybe we will take Callie on her first camping experience when she is walking around lol.

@caseface5 Ugh so jealous about your beach trip. I want to go back to the beach so bad...unfortunately that probably won't be until next year.

@500days I've never actually been to a drive in movie. It sounds like it was fantastic!

@caseface5 That sucks that you got sick- glad to hear it passed quickly. Where'd you guys go for Mexican? Last time H and I were driving through Braintree/Holbrook they were working on a new Mexican restaurant that used to be an Italian place. Can't remember what it was called or when it was supposed to open.

@500days I want to see Trainwreck too. We never go to the movies since it's so damn expensive. I've never been to a drive in either. 

@cocobellaF That's annoying that your MIL has decided to extend her stay. Sorry it's throwing off your baby making plans

@lavenderfields13 There aren't too many drive ins left but I have been to the one in Mendon and one in RI. Both are about $25 per car for a double feature. It's the best ever.

I had a pretty uneventful weekend. I felt kind of off this weekend- just blah. Friday I went to the mall after work to return my shoes and then look for other shoes. Did not find anything I really liked so the search continues. Then I picked up food on the way home and hung out on the couch waiting for H to get home. H texted me saying they pulled him for a hospital run so he wasn't sure when he was getting home. I went to bed and he got home around 12:45am and I was too tired to go watch TV with him.

Saturday I laid out on my porch for about 2 hours to get some sun and started reading a new book. After H left for work I did pretty much nothing for hours on end except read. Finally I decided I really needed to shower- but first I made brownies. Then I wrote some more Thank You notes (need to finish them this week!) and finished my book. When H got home he started playing video games and I fell asleep.

Yesterday was pretty cloudy and cool in the morning and I could not get my butt out of the house to go for a walk. I stayed in bed for a really long time. H kept asking me if I was going to the casino with his family and I did NOT want to go. He called his parents back to see if he could ride with them but they were already gone so I felt guilty and went with him. It was OK. The new casino is tiny and doesn't pay out. I'm not a gambler and his whole family on his mom's side loves to gamble- I just look at it like throwing money out the window. H and I were alone most of the time so that was good. By the time we got home I was about ready for bed so I crashed. I feel like I haven't really seen H much this weekend because I've been sleeping so much so hopefully we can spend some quality time together tonight.

@lavenderfields13 We went to one in Wareham. There is a shopping plaza there that it is in. It was called Casa Cancun and it was good! We usually like to go to a little local place called El Mariachi.

@jenna8984 At least it was cold rather than hot! I can't stand camping when it's hot and sticky out cause then there is zero chance I'm getting any sleep at all.

@CocoBellaF That's really annoying your MIL is staying longer. I strongly believe guests should stay for their appointed time and then it's time to go home....not just arbitrarily keep staying...

@southernpeach89 You are adorable! That is all.

@caseface5 I'm sorry you and your BF got sick after breakfast. That is the worst!

I'm planning to do a full AW for @southernpeach89 so I'll try to leave shower talk out of this post. Suffice to say, everything was beautiful, we had tons of food (too much food honestly), and now I am officially exhausted.

My weekend was great! I had the BEST time hanging out with @Peaseblossom55, @Swazzle, @GoldenPenguin, @speakeasy14, @buddysmom80, @Hummingbird125 and @csousa1 on Saturday! We talked, we laughed, and we drank! And i didn't tell BF what I was doing because strangers from the internet are scary but I got found out anyway since I got home drunk and a half hour late with a dead phone. Oops! I'm lucky to have him, anyone else I've ever dated would have been upset at me for more than one reason but he thought it was pretty funny, and I did apologize for not being totally up front with him. I can't wait for the next g2g so we can do it all over again!

Other than that I worked all day yesterday and when I was done I spent the rest of the day working on a presentation that was due at midnight. Today is definitely a napping kinda day after all that

@untouchablets I met up with @jenna8984 @phira & @jenjen047 last month and I waited until the night before to tell my H. I was going to be leaving to meet them when I'm usually still at home so he'd be wondering where I was going. He kinda freaked out, like whyyy are you meeting strangers from the internet?? He didn't understand. He thought they were going to be murderers lol.

@labro did you at least take some of the food home for this week? Sounds like you're a great host. Also H didn't like that North Face I got. It wasn't even the color, just the whole style I guess. Not sure he was pretty quiet about it so I'm going to return it. Oh well I tried!

@lavenderfields13 I'm not into gambling either, I'd much rather take that money and go buy a shirt or something that I can actually use! Boo that you didn't find new shoes yet.

@untouchablets Yup, what lavfields said! My H was freaked out about me being murdered and he kept texting to make sure I was ok. But now that I've done it like 2-3 times with different people from here he's cool with it! Glad you guys had an awesome time, and that he didn't freak too much!

@lavenderfields13 @untouchablets When H and I went to visit @GoldenPenguin and @Swazzle and @hummingbird125 H was convinced we were going to die even though I had already met other NEYers and he'd been there too. I told him to quit worrying so much and we both ended up having so much fun (and we're obviously still alive too)!!!

@jenna8984 Oh yes, we still have a TON of leftovers. I had pasta salad for breakfast yesterday and we're going to be eating brats all week. And I have a whole bunch of cupcakes that I didn't get to ice cause I didn't have room on the stand for them so I get to eat those too!

I need a day to recover from this weekend.  There was lots of drinking and shenanigans. 

Friday Musikfest: We had a blast. My boss ended up extending the open bar all night.  Along with listening to good music we had two random moments: there were interpretive dancers right below our balcony wearing nude leggings.  All of my coworkers were hanging over the side of the balcony because we thought they were walking around naked.  While that was going on we watched a drunk guy get arrested, searched, and the cops pulled a baggie of something out of his pocket.  Then they let him go.  The guy could barely walk, so we watched him crawl down the street.

NEY Brunch with @untouchablets, @peaseblossom55, @buddysmom80, @swazzle, @goldenpenguin, @csousa1, and @hummingbird125: So much fun! We had all the mimosas; @peaseblossom55 had all the orange juice.  .So we were busy having so much fun on Saturday that we only took one picture. After brunch we went to a bar across the street for a few drinks.  That turned into a bar crawl.  Let me just say that @swazzle, @goldenpenguin, @csousa1, and @hummingbird125 know how to have fun, and had I not had a 2 hour drive I probably would have stayed out all night. I left around 9:30.  Something happened with Amtrak so I had to sit on the NJ transit for a half hour between Manhattan and Newark and ended up not getting home till 1:00am.  

Yesterday: My niece's baptism.  She loved the water and didn't cry at all. I got her the most adorable sailor outfit and now need to find something for the 3 year old because she was mad that I didn't get her a pretty dress.  To cheer her up I let her take some selfies of us, or as she said "shelfies."

I had a great time this weekend with @tuarceatha (as always). We went and saw Trainwreck. I was a little disappointed. I did laugh in a few places, but I guess I had my hopes up so high that I was underwhelmed. I've been fighting a cold for a few days so yesterday I just went to yoga, took a nap, and ate a yummy Blue Apron dinner (chicken tortas) that DH took 90 minutes to make.

Today I feel like poop but I have a TON of work to do, so at least that will keep my mind off of how I feel. Happy Monday, y'all.

Yikes, this weekend flew by.  I spent Friday evening mostly cooking H's Indian food and getting some minor grocery shopping done.  Saturday H and I drove to visit his friends in the Illinois burbs (2 hour drive, ugh).  It was pretty fun (I adore their daughter and she was cute as can be).  We ate, laughed and drank the night away.  We stayed the night then headed out Sunday.  

My Sunday was then consumed by meal planning, grocery shopping and cooking - 4 hours of cooking, guys.  I love to cook but, yikes.  H did the yard while I cooked so now we have a nice yard and meals for the week.  HOLY HELL though guys, I got eaten alive by what I think must have been spiders yesterday.  H said he killed a bunch of huge ones when he was putting the cover on the grill after I was done grilling.  My feet and legs are just eaten up...but I didn't see a single spider when grilling and was wearing socks/shoes.  WTF.

@speakeasy14 I am SO glad you  had a ton of fun on Saturday with everyone! I haven't had an opportunity to meet a few of those ladies in person yet but they are all my favorite people and I wish I could've been there!

My weekend was good.  I have off today since it's my birthday and I'm not working. Saturday I had a wonderful day in the city.  I met @untouchablets @swazzle @goldenpenguin @hummingbird125 @buddysmom80 @csousa1 & @speakeasy14 in the city for brunch.  It was so much fun, they are wonderful people and even more beautiful in person.  It made me really happy.  Sunday I went back into the city to see An American in Paris, it was so good.  There was so much dancing, it was great.  We came home had dinner and watched the finale of True Detective.

H gave me my birthday present this morning, he got me a new kindle paperwhite since my old kindle has died and a pretty Paris cover case.  I have to run a few errands today and get some studying done.  I think H is taking me to my favorite restaurant this coming weekend!

@jenna8984 were you sleeping on the ground? If so, maybe try air mattress or even a cot. I've told Matt I won't camp cuz I hate sleeping on ground. He suggested cots. Sounds like you had fun though! I want smores! XD

Pretty simple weekend for us. Matt went to football game and I had a relaxation massage. Seriously, didn't think I was that tense but last time I was that relaxed was in Mexico a year and half ago! The muscles between my ribs and my hips were even relaxed. Wow.

I opted for hot stone, which wasn't terrible just didn't make a huge difference. Maybe if it was winter, it would have been better.

Anyways, went home and showered and made dinner. Watched a movie and crashed before Matt came home.

Saturday we were up relatively early to head to Ribfest. I am def going to that one instead of the local one from now on! They had poker races {if you didn't know, they're boat races} and more options on food, etc. Matt got ribs, I got deep fried pickles, friends of ours got ribs and poutine - which my friend B had, so we shared poutine and pickles. Later Matt surprised me with deep fried mars bar on a stick. {unhealthy as fuck, but amazing!} The band playing did such a variety of covers you couldn't help but like at least one song.

There was a petting zoo and I saw a llama, piggie, goat and donkey. I am obviously a child because I love petting zoos! Lol

Wandered around the town, saw some historical things and then headed out. Matt and I crashed on our couch for a bit then snacked.

Sunday I saw my nana and showed her some of the photos we had from the wedding, then headed to the mall. I needed new dress pant capri's for work {I got 2 pairs on sale!} I hoped to get these adorable suede heel boots but they were JUST too small. Guhh ... {legit half size}

Then we visited Matt's mum since his step dad and brother were away. Had early dinner since she had a migraine. Not much else that night.

Today I have a dentist appt after work. Just a cleaning. I need to go through our Tupperware because I'm finding we've gotten quite low on choices and with fall coming, I like to crock-pot and freeze stuff.

Also I should really do laundry ....
