AW- I'm married as of 10/11 (FKA "FeeleytoBe). We got SUCH a beautiful day and it was so amazing
to look ANYWHERE at any given time of the day and see someone smiling at
you- I mean, how often does that happen in one's life?
No pro-pics yet, so just a few we got from smart phone users.
The run down of sweet and/or interesting things.
1.) H's grandpa almost didn't make it. His other grandson (H's
cousin) went to pick him up and the car they use to shuttle Grandpa was
dead. Then they got lost. We (my DOC) delayed the ceremony a few minutes to see
if they would arrive. He made it but I think we were already down the
aisle when they rolled him up in back.
2.) Grandpa told everyone all day he finally had a granddaughter.
3.) H's cousin has a daughter who looked to be about 3; she kept
coming up to me all day because she wanted to say hi to the princess.
5.) Tons of compliments of our food spread and our cake.
6.) Lots of people told us they got teary at our vows- even our officiant. Neither of us cried.
7.) We did a first dance; they played the wrong song (actually, H loaded the wrong song in the 1st dance folder)- so we winged it
and H sang to me while we danced. No one else chose to dance at the wedding-
we are good talkers!
8.)I came back with a suitcase full of other people's clothing. My friend used the bridal room to
change for another event that day and left her clothes there. Another friend who did my makeup also left pants in my
hotel room.
9.) Everyone was blown away by my Sola flowers. People kept asking to touch them.
10.) Tons of compliments on our beer bottle centerpieces and escort
cards with beer caps glued to them. Everyone kept asking if we drank
them all- yes we did; just not that morning.
11.) We gave the 6-7 kids at our wedding a bag w/ 2 pages ripped out of a color book, some stickers (also ripped out of a coloring book) an 8-pack of Crayons, and 2 rubber ducks (H and I collect / display them in our bathroom), and we got tons of compliments on them. We decided to make them about 30 hours before the wedding- a last minute idea I put almost not effort into and it was a hit.
Photos: Random shot from our ceremony / our cake (and our "centerpieces") / coming down the aisle / my shocked face when the wrong music started for our first dance / last kiss as boyfriend / girlfriend- as our rent-a-rev said.
