Morning! 

I'm leaving work early today, hopefully by 1, and I can't wait to drive home with the top down later! It's going to be GORGEOUS here today! I might treat myself to a pedicure and then I have to clean up the house before my parents arrive.

Tomorrow we're leaving bright and early and driving up to Burlington, VT for the weekend for my cousin's graduation! My family rented a house nearby so I'm excited to spend a couple days with everyone. 

The graduation is on Sunday and then we'll head home on Monday. It's my first time taking off since my coworker went out on maternity leave (3 months ago) and I hope the new girl can handle it!

I'm at work now, but have to leave to go to a Dr's appt in a little bit, then come back to work. I finally got a new doctor and I can't wait to meet her. IDK if any of you remember my last Dr (they said I haven't been back to see him since 2013 so I doubt it) but he was such a dick! He completely embarrassed me infront of a med student so I haven't been back. I'm starting to have stomach troubles though so I am going to ask for a referral for a new Gastro since mine moved out of state. Fun stuff.

Tonight we are laying low. Tomorrow I want to go through and switch out all my summer clothes. I have to really go through them and throw some stuff out. BF is going into the Sox game with a bunch of guys from his work so I'll be alone all day which is good so I can get stuff done! 

Sunday we don't have any plans so I'm thinking it will be more laundry and cleaning. I have to scrub the bathroom this weekend too. I also want to hit the gym both days and maybe take Tess for more walks.

So my weekend is pretty lame and filled with Adulting things.. but hopefully I get to do some relaxing too! Happy Friday Everyone!

I am FINALLY in a good mood this week guys! It's Friday, it's gorgeous out, I went to spin this morning, and I'm leaving early today to head to NJ. My plan for the day is to quietly crank out work all day, stop mid morning to walk to Cosi to pick up a salad for lunch, eat with a few co-workers I get along well with, crank out more work and then get the heck out of here. It'll be nice to get out of the office and stretch my legs in the sun for a bit. 

H had a stomach ache again yesterday so he made an appt. at his school and they saw him same day. The dr. threw out scary stuff like crohn's, and his family has a ton of issues with allergies/dietary restrictions so he's nervous now. But she also said it could be absolutely nothing... He just tends to hear the bad and get worried. The funniest part was that she needs a stool sample from him - he had to carry a poop kit home last night! I was literally laughing all night about the fact that he has to get on the T today with a vial of his own poop to drop off at the office. Anyway, hopefully it's just a bug and he's totally fine. The great news is that his doctor let him know that he has 5 free visits to the nutritionist. He's going to take advantage of that and I'm so jealous! I feel like it's so hard to know how to eat right and I think it will be really good for him.

@lizzytish88 - Whooo hooo!  Hitting the gym this weekend twice would be a huge accomplishment.  Go you!  As to the doc, I wish you luck.  I've had my fair share of asshole doctors and like you I tend not to go back for a while.  Why become a doctor if you don't like patients?

@pambeesly525 - Happy early anniversary!  I'm sorry but the poop kit made me laugh out loud.

Well, the end of the week is at least in sight.  Every day has been 10-12 hours at the office with hours of emails after work too.  I got major kudos from a client yesterday at least.  I don't think really many of my clients know I'm pregnant as we rarely meet in person.  Now that I'm introducing someone else into our deals from my department to transition the matter I think they are a little shocked to be honest that (a) I'm pregnant and (b) I'm leaving soon.  I think one guy felt a little bad that I was working so hard when I told him.

As hard as work has been, I do have to say my team completely caught me by surprise yesterday and had a really nice gift for me yesterday at our team meeting I was presenting at.  That was a very, very sweet surprise and I am incredibly grateful notwithstanding the insane hours lately.  I would like to leave early today but I have a 2-3:30 meeting scheduled so looks like it will still be a full (but hopefully just a 8-9 hour) day.

Saturday will be more food prep probably and various Ani projects...we have to set up the baby monitor, I have to find a few referrals for lactation consultants, we have to go over some medical/401k stuff, etc.  Sunday will likely be more of the same too.  Hoping to get some walks in this weekend and maybe some rummage sale shopping.    Also hoping for some decent sleep.

@LizzyTish88 sorry about your rough doctor's experience.. I agree with minskat, why do these doctors even exist? I grew up in a small town and my dentist was a classmate's father. One time while he was examining my teeth he started rambling about stuff and ended up insulting my uncle very, very badly - he didn't realize he was my uncle but even if he wasn't it was SO unprofessional. I walked out and never went back, I was furious. I hope your doctor today is much better!

@minskat30 Trust me, I was laughing too! I'm such a supportive wife I'm glad you got some recognition for all of your hard work! That's really sweet that your team got you a gift. I hope your day today is much better!

Good morning!  Happy Friday!

I found out I get to start WFH on Monday so I am really happy about that.  Not much going on around here.  I have a chiro appt at lunch today so it'll be a nice excuse to get out of the house and grab Starbucks or gelato or something.  I think tonight we're going to run to the store and grab the rest of the stuff for my hospital bag.  I'm determined to jinx this little girl coming early by having everything ready.  We'll see if it works!

We're celebrating my brother's birthday this weekend.  They are going to some seafood/crab place, and bringing H and me meals to go.  And then cake and presents at my house.  I've really wanted shrimp and crab legs, so I am EXCITED.

It's gross and ugly here today (again). But I think it's finally supposed to actually rain and then we'll have some beautiful clear weather for the weekend. I have a meeting I have to go in to the office for today, gross....but then afterwards H and I and my ILs are all going over to my parent's house for dinner. I can't wait to see @southernpeach89 and give her hugs and snuggle my Callie girl!

On Saturday I think the plan is to go to this evening event with live music, food, and booze at our local botanical garden. I'm going to get dressed up in my new favorite dress and just have a good time.

Sunday my ILs leave and I'm going to be a bum and eat ice cream straight out of the container and read a book.

So .... all types of news.
First and foremost

OUR OFFER WAS ACCEPTED!! WE GOT THE HOUSE!!

My brain is literally on overdrive now. We've got inspection next Tuesday morning and I'm bringing a tape measure because we need to get a fridge, but I need to know the size of the area.

Second, starting next month for the rest of the summer we're closing the office two hours early! Yay! Gives me jump on doing stuff alone - packing, cleaning, dinner, seeing friends ... etc. It's done as a 'thank you' to all the staff because of our new system. Unfortunately it's because it's so glitchy, and causing a lot of frustration. I'm lucky, as it doesn't work that bad for stuff I'm doing.


Anyways .... staff lunch today and long weekend. We'll see how much work I get done today

@labro I have a real gift of tickets to see Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally when the come later this year. We're defrosting our wedding cake and H thinks we should get something yummy "as an appetizer to the cake"... aka the cake will be our dinner So on our ride home from NJ on Sunday we're gonna brainstorm some yummy stuff to buy and pig out on Tuesday night. I hope you have clear weather this weekend! We've been the opposite - sunny all week and gross this weekend.

Art Walk was fun last night, but I was starting to feel really out of it and weird so we didn't stay out the whole time. Early in the evening we were walking around with one of our friends for a bit and ended up in a group that involved BF's ex. I spotted her out of the corner of my eye and she flat out ran away. Like, ran across the street. It was so weird. BF and I ducked into the nearest gallery to branch off from that awkwardness since the group, including the friend we were walking with, followed her across the street. We had a good time just walking around together though. 

When I got home the new light fixture I had ordered had arrived. I unpacked it and held it up where it's going to go and now I'm super excited about changing out fixtures. I'm pretty handy, so I want to do it myself (with BF as a spotter), though part of me worries it'll be more complicated than I think. Or it could be way easier than I think. No way to know until I try, right? And yes, I have the proper tools, like the beeping thing to check for live wires so I don't fry myself. 

Tomorrow BF and I are going to a fundraiser for the animal shelter. It might rain, so I got us the VIP tickets so we can be under the VIP tent and not get wet. If it doesn't rain, well, VIP gets some additional perks anyway and it's not like we would be forced to only stand there. I'm excited about it. PLUS there will be beer, music, and PUPPIES. Win win!

Thank God it's Friday. I am so ready for the weekend. I really hope next week is better than this week has been.

So, the HR issues I referenced a few days ago came to a head and have been handled. It took up a huge chunk of my day on Wednesday, but everything's been resolved. As an added perk, I can now work from home two days per week starting next week. Woohoo!

I worked until 9pm last night and meant to come in really early this morning, but I just couldn't get out of bed. Oh well. I have a doctor's appointment in an hour, and then we're taking out a coworker for lunch around 1 because it's her last day in the office before she starts her maternity leave. I think she's being induced on Monday. Very exciting!

Tonight we are going out to celebrate a friend's birthday. Tomorrow morning Zoey has her 9-month checkup at the vet, and then we're going out with @audrewuh and her H tomorrow night. On Sunday we have GoT and chores.

Hi!
I feel like I have missed a lot but I've been lurking! H and I spent 4 glorious days at the beach which we desperately needed. We only had one day of rain but the rest of the time was all sunshine!



I came back to work on Wednesday but I had a migraine and nausea all day and then again for most of the day yesterday. I have no idea what that was about but I feel great today and am looking forward to my cousin's wedding this weekend. My mom, aunt (MOG) and I all got manis so we're ready!

My one hit wonder station is gone already. So that was a lame start to my morning. I was already running late for work, and considered leaving early, but that just stuck the nail in that coffin. I'm just waiting for my superior to show up to tell them I'm leaving, haha.

Tomorrow, my little sister is driving down from Seattle to go see Annie with me on stage. I will be singing Maybe and Tomorrow for the rest of the weekend.
