Morning! 

I was off work yesterday because I was in VT for my cousin's graduation with my whole family this weekend and it was really great! We had a really nice time  

It's rainy and gross here today which made getting out of bed even more difficult than usual and I feel way more tired than I should. 

I started reading 'Ready Player One' by Ernest Cline this morning and I really like it so far! 

Nothing going on tonight. Just home, dinner, relax, bed as per usual. 

I hope this week flies by because I'm definitely ready for another long weekend although I can't believe that Memorial day is here and June is next week.

@Swazzle glad your VT trip was fun! It's gross here too today, such a bummer.

Today is my 1st anniversary with H!!!!! We went away to VT in the beginning of March as our anniversary trip (wanted to go while it was still chilly so we could curl up by the fire) so tonight we aren't doing anything crazy. We'll exchange gifts (although H said mine might not be here in time which is fine), and our wedding cake is defrosting in the fridge. We figured we wouldn't want to eat a super huge meal with the cake so we are making THESE and then so we don't feel too awful about ourselves we're having a fruit salad. And wine, lots of wine. 

I'm excited and I need this day to go really fast

@Swazzle Sounds like you had a really nice weekend. I'm right there with you on not wanting to get out of bed this morning. I seriously waited until the last possible second that I could to get out bed haha.

Yesterday I went to CrossFit and we did a lot of cardio and it was rough. I need to get out and run more. I tried to watch The Bachelorette but it didn't start until 9pm and I was like seriously??? That's so late. So I only made it halfway through before I went to bed.

Today I'm working from home and probably getting some cleaning done. Tonight DH and I are going to go get our new phone plan set up. I hate doing this stuff because it's annoying but we need to get it done. Then if we get time I might go to CrossFit. We are having Tilapia and veggies for dinner tonight and watching GoT since we didn't watch it Sunday.

Yesterday afternoon, I crashed hard. My cold just came in like a wave and I was dragging so hard. I have so much to do at work that I can't leave sick. I mean, yeah I could, but I would only be hurting myself and there is no one who could help me. So I am pushing through again today.

Remember my cousin who got married in October? Well before he was with this girl, K, he was with this girl L. They were also engaged, and she was psycho pants. She flew to Texas to "surprise" him, although she was really following him, when he moved there a couple years ago. She was very jealous and overbearing. She actually cancelled the wedding during one of their fights, and didn't tell him for two weeks. So the entire family was pleased when they called the whole thing off and she was out of his life. 

She had moved to NC and seemed to move on with her life. Then a few weeks ago, she moved back to San Antonio. Well she posted on FB/Instagram yesterday that she is back working at the same company, the one my cousin works at. IDK what the fuck she is doing but so help me God if she tries anything I will fly to Texas and kick her ass myself. I am weary about is due to her past. Bitches be crazy.

Last night was boring. H overcooked my stuff on the grill, like always. I need to just boot him and do it myself. Does anyone else watch jeopardy? The returning champ right now is such a douchebag. Each time they intro him in the beginning he does like a brush of the shoulder, or a slicking hair back move, saying how good he is. I want him to lose so badly because of that lol.

@jenna8984 BF's mom watches Jeopardy religiously, I'll have to ask her what she thinks of him. BF and I try to watch but we don't usually sit down until after it's over.

@jenna8984 We didn't watch last night because I had a massive headache but now I want to watch just to see this guy! I love to hate people like that. I hope he loses. The "Power Players" shows last week were so fun - I loved seeing Louis C.K. kick butt.

@southernpeach89 - Cardio is HARD.  Hell, walking at this point is hard for me so kudos for doing actual intense cardio.   

@jenna8984 - H can't grill either.    I'm in charge of the grill 99% of the time as a result...but he cleans it (I figure that is a fair trade).  

@lizzytish88 - She sounds legitimately nutso.  Hopefully she doesn't cause drama.

Yesterday was hard.  Thank you all for being encouraging and supportive.  I just wanted to cry for most of the day.  I think I'm just tired of working all the time and using all my brain cells for work then feeling drained after.  Last night I went home, grilled for a bit in the sun while it was still out and just went to bed early.  I couldn't sleep much but at least it was nice to lay down.  

Today looks considerably better.  Still busy but I think after Wednesday it will slow down a little thankfully...I have a big project coming up Wednesday.  

I'm going to get my hair done this week or weekend I decided.  Not sure I'll have time once Ani arrives.  I'm thinking serious highlighting (full head) and maybe a little bit of a cut.  I might also book a facial while I'm at it because I think I need to treat myself.

I feel much better today than I did yesterday! I'm so happy about that, not only because I felt like crap but because my brother's ship comes in tomorrow and I want to be feeling my best! I have one class today, so the day is definitely going to drag. I just want it to be fast!

The Parade of Ships starts at 10am tomorrow, which means my ass will be headed to the city around 7 so I can get a good spot. My brother is in the Navy, but the Marines and Coast Guard will also be participating. I don't know what my brother's schedule will be like so I will likely be hanging around by myself all day because BF has work and a final and can't join me I will be back and forth from the city all week long so I'll be MIA from here again but I will be sure to update with an AW next week

@minskat30 um yeaaaaaa, the hair and facial shouldn't even be a question! I'm actually disappointed because for my birthday H had given me a gift card for 3 massages to get done while pregnant. I went for one and did not like it. My body just couldn't get comfortable on the table and I felt like she didn't go deep at all so I left feeling like it wasn't even good. Sucks, so I'm saving the other 2 for after delivery.

Good morning! I am proud of myself because I made it to the gym yesterday for the first time in awhile. H wasn't feeling up to going but I still went myself. Hoping to stay focused on that!
Last night when I got home we made roasted mushrooms with mixed veggies for dinner. I'm trying to start weight watchers again (the old system) and it's a challenge to not snack all my points away during the daytime!
We watched the Bachelorette before bed, and I'm pretty bummed for Jojo. Some of those guys are real idiots (and not very cute).
Tonight I'm going back to the gym, and hopefully going to bed earlier tonight because I know I didn't get enough sleep last night. C'mon Wednesday...

@swazzle - I am so ready for Memorial Day! An extra day off? Yes, please.
Did you do any sight-seeing while you were in VT?
@PamBeesly524 - Happy Anniversary! I hope your cake is still delicious!

@LizzyTish88 - That girl sounds like a first-rate psycho.  I hope she stays far away from your cousin and/or gets involved in lots of batshit crazy drama that has nothing to do with your cousin but that you get to tell us about.  :-)

Morning everybody!  A pretty quiet day here.  I'm working from home, but I have a lot to get done, so hopefully I can focus and not get too distracted so I can get it finished.  I've got a book to read and a syllabus to create today.  I'm super excited about the syllabus.  Usually I only teach intro-level core classes, but they've given me an upper-level in my actual field, so I'm really excited to put it together.

Tonight is yoga and then hopefully watching my Thunder win again!

Tomorrow is my bf's birthday! I can't wait to see his reaction when he finds out about the trip! His brother and FSIL are facetiming us tonight and I'm going to tell him the news while they're on the phone so they get to see his reaction too!

Last night we took Calla for a walk.  She was so excited when she saw her harness that I ended up getting my thumb stuck in the clasp.  That was not fun.   After we got back from our walk I walked over to Ritas and got one of their flights (square container with 4 flavors of ice).  Then walked home and put all the flavors into a cup and added vodka.  It was delicious.

Either tonight or tomorrow after work I have to make my bf's birthday cake.  He's requested chocolate with strawberries.

@beachyone15 - No sightseeing this time around. It was my 3rd time in Burlington (once when my cousin was a freshman and then again when H and I stopped there on our roadtrip). We rented a big house and BBQed and all that good stuff all weekend.

Hi everyone! I've missed you!

@minskat30 - Giant hugs. I'm so sorry work is stressing you out. I totally feel you on that front. I'm doing everything I can to not let it get to me, but it is just unrelenting right now! 

Sooooo, what have I been up to the past few days? No big deal, just getting knocked up Thursday H and I drove up to Syracuse to our airbnb. It was a little guest house on someone's property and it was perfect.

Friday, we went to the clinic, I got propofol through IV, counted to 30, and was literally OUT. Next thing I knew, they said 'you're all done, we got 3 eggs and they all looked mature.' I was pretty bloated and uncomfortable the rest of the day, but I laid by the pool in the sun and it was all good. Oh, on the way home, we stopped for lunch and played one game of Keno. I won $55!

Saturday, we drove to Chittenango Falls and did a little hiking. Then we walked around Cazenovia, went to a farmer's market where we bought cheese, vodka, and sauerkraut, and got a call telling us one of the fertilized eggs had become an embryo, and that the other two were still in the running. I was super emotional and immediately worried that our embryo wouldn't make it to transfer. On the way home we stopped at a casino, where I promptly won $40. Then we went and watched a soccer game, before taking naps and going back to the casino. We were there for about 3 hours, and I won another $80!



Sunday, we went to Green Lakes State Park and did some more hiking. It was gorgeous. The lake was perfectly still and SO clear! 



Sunday afternoon we just relaxed, and I did about a half days work. 

Monday was GO TIME! I was very nervous but had been replacing my negative thoughts with positive ones for the previous 48 hours. When I walked into the procedure room, I saw not a picture of ONE embryo on the table, but TWO! I immediately started sobbing. 

I had acupuncture. By the time I was done with that, I really had to go to the bathroom, but they want you to have a full bladder. 20 minutes later and I was in extreme pain and H was threatening to go get someone. They finally came in, said they recommended transferring both, and we were off! The procedure was miserable, but only because of the full bladder. I couldn't really enjoy watching the magic happen, but it seemed quick and the doc was very positive. Then I got to pee (WHEW).

We drove back to MD straight from there and picked up F+F. The weekend could not have gone more perfectly. I now have two beautiful little embryos tucked into my uterus and will know in two weeks if (THAT!) it worked.

Hi, everyone! I was MIA yesterday because work was insane, and it will probably be crazy again today. One day my life will slow down, one day.

I had a phone interview yesterday that went really well, and we scheduled an in-person interview for tomorrow afternoon. I'm really excited about it, and I'm confident that I'll be a top contender for the position. In the meantime, I'm doing a ton of research about the field and brushing up on my Excel skills so I can wow them with my tenacity. All I did last night was watch videos about one of the software tools they use, and I started a base-level certification course in it too. My only plans for tonight are to finish that course. Fun times!

I also have a hair appointment tomorrow before the interview to get my roots touched up and my hair trimmed. I'm going to look so fabulous!
