I keep smelling my fingernails...

I got a nail polish the other day and didn't realize it was a smelly kind. Now my nails smell like Orange Pop. It smells good, so I keep sniffing them without realizing, lol. I'm so glad I work from home, lol.

Just thought you all should know.

P.S. Another weird fact about nail polish ... I NEVER get nail polish but for some reason have gotten into it lately and the first one I bought after years of not buying it was called "Tie the Knot". I got it a few days before FI proposed, but didn't realize it at the time. I need to start reading the labels I think, lol.

I just started using nail polish to keep myself from biting my nail. I actually just took it off because it was chipping but I exclusively wear a very light pink color. Maybe once my nails grow out a bit more I'll pick more exciting color but I don't actually want to draw attention to them right now.

    I second Liv!

My favorite colors are blue and purple.  But I am not wearing any right now, it takes forever to paint my nails.

I almost always have nail polish on, and I like to buy OPI from a beauty supply store since it lasts a long time before chipping, and it's cheaper from the beauty supply. Right now I'm not allowed to wear any though, because my character in the opera I'm performing is supposed to have been in prison (in 1692) for a few months. I'll be so happy on Monday when I can paint them again!

I usually wear sheer pinks, and sometimes deeper plums or reds. I also recently bought a beige/taupe that I really like. It's very clean and neutral.

Liv: I don't go anywhere special, I just happened to see it at Wal-Mart and it's already chipping but I don't really do any kind of base or top coat, lol. I need to learn how to do it and then not get the cheap stuff.

Beth: I learned to stop biting my nails when I got braces. I couldn't for some reason line my teeth up right to bite them off, so I stopped and never really started up again afterwards.

I have a gray-ish metallic "Tie the Knot" on my toes and the "Orange Pop" on my fingernails. They don't usually match, but I don't usually paint my fingernails, just my toe nails.

They're still nice and smelly though! : )

I have a strawberry scented pink polish I got from Forever21. I didn't realize it was scented when I picked it out, I was just waiting in line and they had all these polishes (that's how they get you!) and it was only $2.50 so I grabbed it. It started chipping the next day but what do you want for $2.50?
Today I got a shellac french mani. I didn't feel like paying for a pedicure too so I'll paint my own toes tomorrow.
I go thru phases with favorite colors.

I guess you should be a little cautious when you find yourself picking up this color- http://www.amazon.com/OPI-Nail-Polish-Its-Girl/dp/B003E26ULE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I'm a nail polish hoar and have a whole basket full of (primarily) OPI polishes.  I love them all and could absolutely not choose a favorite.

When my friend was in town last weekend and wanted to paint her nails with my polish, I started to realize how much $$ I've invested in this stuff!  Just think - if i have 50 bottles of polish at 8 bucks a pop... that is $400 worth of nail polish.  OMG.

You may have spent a lot on it, but at least it wasn't all at once and you should be set to have any color you want for quite a while, lol. It's a good investment! : )

I think they might actually sell some kind of nail polish-ish stuff that you can put on your nails and it tastes horrible. That stuff works too apparently. My dad always just said I'd learn to stop chewing my nails if I'd go work on the dairy farm and end up with crap, literally, under my nails, lol. So there's that too.

Lol, I clicked on that and then underneath I saw the "people also buy..." section and found another color I love, lol. For some reason I'm really into grays right now, but I have a hard time finding one I like because it always looks so different on my nail than it does in the bottle.
