Do you and SO have a 'song'?

Im bored tonight, just thought Id get to know you ladies a bit more!
The song doesnt have to be sappy and lovey, but is there a song that never fails to remind you of SO and bring a smile to your face? Why?

For me, its Toto's Africa. BF's whole family calls him Africa, and I don't think ill ever find out why. His sisters rationale is that Africa is where they got him.

    Definitely "So Contagious" by Acceptance


    It reminds me of the first couple months when we started dating. Makes me tear up every time. FI is going to sing this song at our wedding.

    BF and I do not have a 'song'. We've tried to pick one out but haven't one that really suits us. For some reason this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2gGXlW6wSY&ob=av2n) always makes me think about us but I have no idea why.

    Ours is Love Story by Falling For Beloved. It's a screamo cover of Taylor Swift's song. One day Jay made me a playlist of songs and I fell in love with this song and then a week later he told me it always reminded him of us, so that's how it came to be our song.

    His parents, when we first started dating, kept trying to break us up so the song fits rather well. (Old family friends, key word being old.) It's funny how they had no problem with us being bestfriends but the second we told them we where dating I became enemy number one. It's laughable now because they've accepted me and have mostly gotten over the greif they'd had with my parents.
    Btw sorry for spelling errors, I'm tired. That means I ramble and make a million grammer/spelling mistakes.

    We don't. It's never really bothered me, though. Throughout our relationship there have been songs that reminded one of us of the other, but nothing that stuck as "our song". I will admit that thinking of a first dance song is turning out to be a pain in the behind! If we had a song that decision would be easier. trying to find one feels like forcing it.

    Ours is "Eight Days a Week" by the Beatles. Not really sure how it got to be our song, it was just one of those things where we used to sing it all the time to each other, dance in the kitchen together to it, etc etc...until one day we were like, "this should be our song." :)

    We don't.

    The first three months of our relationship, however, we were long distance - I was initially 8 hours away, and then 16 hours away.  While I was there, "Asss Back Home" by Gym Class Heroes came out.  That was definitely our song until I came home.

    We don't really have one.  On one of our first dates though we were out at karoke with friends, his whole family loves the musical Phantom of the Opera and so does he.  He said he always wanted to be able to sing All I Ask of You to a girl he loves someday.  I teared up and hoped one day it would be me.  He hasn't sung it yet, I always hope he will someday even if it's just in his living room or something.

    I wish we had a song, we talked about it and gave up. We decided that his medley of Prince's Raspberry Beret and Hall and Oates Rich Girl that he likes to sing to me didn't count.

    I always think of FI when I hear "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional.  He's not a huge fan of it though.

    We FINALLY picked our first dance song...which will be "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.  So I guess that will become our song.

    </div><div>BF and I never explicitly chose a song to be ours, but when we heard this song:  <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_FlS_LcokI&feature=related" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_FlS_LcokI&feature=related</a> by the Black Keys, it resonated with both of us.  He ended up buying it on vinyl (he still djs sometimes and LOVES records).  When he brought it home and played it for me, we immediately started to slow dance to it and he suggested it would make a great first dance song.  </div>

    My SO and I met a few years back at a hardcore/punk show. We found out that we both loved the same band, the Bouncing Souls. The came out with a new album sometime after we met and heard this song,   Think That the World (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLj-NrPHGig, which we decided it was "ours". We went to one of their shows and they started playing our song.  We started "dancing" in the pit together and everyone let us dance by ourselves...pretty awesome moment.

    I think 'having a song' comes about one of two ways....either you have a song and use it for your first dance, or you choose a random song for your first dance and it becomes your song after that.

    Ours was the latter, we chose Michael Buble's "Everything" for our first dance, and now everytime I hear it, I obviously think of our wedding, so now it's 'our song'.

    Battletoads, I have to say it was definitely awesome! I was surprised too because people just do whatever in the pits at shows. But it was funny because we were dancing and then looked around and just saw everyone watching us haha.
