flowers for bridesmaid bouqets with lapis dress

Hey Ladies,

So I picked out my bridesmaid dresses at david's bridal, below is a picture of the dress. My maid of honor and I brought the swatch to michael's and ac moore to check out the purple flowers. The problem is the dress is kind of bluish purple instead of a reddish purple as most of the flowers seem to be. I'm not crazy about lavendar, so I'm wondering if light blue flowers would work?

My dress is ivory and champagne, and I will be getting a fresh flower bouqet, but theirs will be silk flowers. Should I try to coordinate my bouqet with theirs or not worry about that? Should their flowers be ivory then with whichever other color? I like the idea of white or off white with a second color. I really like lillies so I'd like to try to incorporate them as well; not as crazy about the traditional roses.

My girls dresses were a similar color and they had white bouquets with some dark purple flowers mixed in. My flowers were the same as the ones you see on my cake which is in my siggy.

Their bouquets could be multicolored and bright.

I bet yellow flowers would look great with that color.

Soft pinks and ivory would be pretty as well as a mixture of deep purples, reds, blues, and ivory. As for your bouquet matching there.....complete preference

We have dresses with almost the exact same color and we are using white cala lilles.  Although, deep red roses look absolutely stunning with the deep purple as well!  Oh, and green orchids make a great pop of color as well!
